How are we all finding this new season? I've been blown away by the huge powershifts every episode so far.
Also confused as to how Toric's death will effect the series, possibly more IRA vs sons now?
I was really not expecting that(hell, I thought I'd read that Donal Logue was signed on for at least 6 episodes), it seems like it will have a pretty big impact on the rest of the season. Although, they already did IRA vs SOA in season 3, I hope that doesn't become the focal point again this season. Not that I doubt they'd do it well, I'm sure it will be great, I just was more looking forward to seeing what Toric would end up doing with them. I also wonder if their massacre of the neo-nazis is the end of the potential white supremacist storyline they were building up, or if those were the wrong neo-nazis(they never confirmed that those were the guys who fucked up Unser, just that one of them had similar neck tattoos) and the ones they were after are still out there.
I missed all of last season, so I'm still a bit out of sorts, only watched this seasons first episode. I'm not a fan of bikers, or rather, never had interest in motorcycles etc, but really enjoy the show.
Happy and Ima are my favs :P haha
Hmm, aye fair point.
I think his 6 mustve included the ones at the end of last season? but yes you are correct about the white suprems, I hope we see more of darby I always liked that actor, and now he is a.. reformed neo nazi, it could be interesting if he reaches out to samcro for help.
I think they may revisit the IRA angle. there is SO many different 'ends' at present..
neo nazis
IRA
Tara/Wendy
Biz lats
porn business
that second brothel by the docks
the DA
Clay
Pope's people
regular cops
did I miss anyone?
That is a lot of open plotlines currently, but I think you covered most of them. Don't forget Peter Weller and his corrupt dock cops or whatever too. Another thing I wonder about, Eli suspects that Toric framed Nero for the hooker's murder, but now that Toric is dead where will that investigation head? I mean, they can't get Toric to confess or reveal anything, so is Nero just gonna be cleared and that's that, or is it gonna be ongoing too?
Should NOT have (accidentally) clicked that black box before finishing the last half of yesterday's episode, lol.
All I have to say is I saw's Chibs' comment coming from episodes away (was just waiting for someone to say it), because Jax is so much less lovable (or at least forgivable, sometimes that is this show's high point for characters) this season. It's really... kind of an odd shift, and doesn't come off -quite- organic/genuine. Especially the stuff with Tara.
Makes for a whole different take on the show when it's not all about him and his personal quest though, and it's not unenjoyable either.
Here are my crazy theories.
Tara will team up with Unser and move the kids away from Wendy and Gemma, gemma will poison jax against tara, wendy shoots gemma with the gun gemma gave her and leaves but i doubt gemma will die
Chibs will go nomad after too many bad decisions made by jax and join up with bobby
Irish and SoA goto war SoA drives them out
Tig will do the dirty on jax for setting him up
Zoebell is behind the skinhead influence and will come back and try and take over charming
Bobby Nomad chapter will come in and take over SoA ousting jax who then leaves to find tara
Clay rots in prison for abit longer maybe till near the end of the season

I'm gonna let 'em know that Dolemite is back on the scene! I'm gonna let 'em know that Dolemite is my name, and fuckin' up motherfuckers is my game!
Some of it I can see, some of it...I don't see at all. Pretty sure Zoebell isn't coming back. He's living it up in Europe now, I don't see him returning to take over a small town like Charming when the last time he was there it cost him so much. And Tuesday's episode made it quite clear Tara and Wendy are working together(all that stuff Wendy told Gemma was done at Tara's behest, they're working together to do...something about Gemma. I assume getting the gun is part of their plan), so I don't think Tara is wanting to "escape" Wendy, though she IS wanting to escape Gemma. Unser may well be willing to aid her in that plan, though it's hard to say. Irish and SOA certainly seem to be heading that way...
another boring episode in another boring season :/
i hope this shit steps up because its nowhere near the awesomeness that was the first seasons.
Last episode was boring, especially after went down in the episode before it. Hopefully its just the calm before the storm. TBH this season is subpar compared to the others. Not enough to stop watching but not enough that I have to SoA when it comes on.
This show has been pretty hit or miss for me this season. I enjoy it, but I find myself pulling out my iPad or phone to check other stuff while watching it moreso than any other show I watch (even more so than last season).
The plot has been good, I just don't know if I'm tired of the actors and similar situations or what.
I thought this was a great episode. But I also thought the first season was the weakest. Lot's of action, sure, but other than that all the character development was really shallow and one dimensional. Overall I think the series has been improving, though the Ireland Intermission was a little odd at first.
You thought the leaden winter would bring you down forever, But you rode upon a steamer to the violence of the sun...
And you see a girl's brown body dancing through the turquoise, And her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea.
And when your fingers find her, she drowns you in her body, Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind.
SoA was great when is was show about a biker gang doing something bad in order to do something good for the community it needed to support it. However, after season 3 (I actually liked the Ireland segments) the show has simply become more and more ridiculous every season. With every season the show depends more heavily on ham fisted violence and sex as tools for driving viewership rather then any sort of compelling story. The entire Charming angle has been totally removed and replaced how many personal vendettas and duplicitous actions they can stuff into a single season. Hell, this season they have already gone to the well of school shootings preformed by children themselves, and relatively explicit gay, prison rape scenes.
Tonights episode was intense...I don't think there was a single scene where something big didn't happen. Especially everything with Tara holy shit... Man...she fabricated the whole thing down to a fake pregnancy. Wendy got Gemma enraged, assaulted someone in public and then assaulted Tara who just filed a restraining order on her. I would not have ever expected her to take such a dark route, and I didn't expect her to be such a mastermind. lol
The most recent episode was definitely on of the better episodes of the season so far, gives me hope for the second half of the season. I'm not attracted to the tranny at all but its hard to miss those giant things on her chest.
