I still feel the rawness of Violent By Design is their best effort, but this was still pretty solid.

    7.2/10.

Screamo (the actual genre, not the silly word people use to mean non-sung vocals) with some legitimately raw intensity.

5.8/10 Interesting for Screamo, intensity it has, but its still far to repetative for my tastes. But its actually decent (more than I can say for most screamo).

One of my favorite songs in any genre, especially metal. Though Orphaned Land sometimes uses death vocals there are none in this song (a little spoken word though, but brief). The guitar solo is probably one of the best I've heard in the last 10 years, and I'm not talking from a skill standpoint. Epic ending.

7.8/10 Thats some pretty solid power metal right there. Never heard of them either. Good singer, production is a bit muddy, but the guitar work and such is nice.

Singer reminds me a bit of Kai Hansen..but better.

Since we are talking power metal, here ya go. Some of Schaffer's best work at the 2:42 mark. Hope they play this live with their new singer. Stu's voice is perfectly suited to it.

Not Iced Earth's best work, but very good none-the-less. 8/10.

An 8.5/10 I reckon, fairly solid piece of music.

As a guitarist, I love Newton Faulkner's stuff; it's amazingly fun to play.

Didn't really like it. I liked this band when they were post-punk, but trying to merge that with electronica doesn't seem too successful in this case.

    4ish/10.

It's hard to go wrong with The Stones. 7.5/10.

Saw Frank Turner live last Sunday. Hands down, the best live show I've seen. The guy is so fucking down to earth and awesome. Got the crowd involved in almost every song. Hung out with people before and after the show, thanking everybody multiple times for coming out.
