Death Penalty for Zahra Baker case?

I found myself unable to sleep tonight.
So, being the internet jockey i am. I opened some forums, sat there with a coke and pressed f5 for a little bit.
I came across a story about Zahra Baker.

I got to thinking as i bitterly read this grisly tale. And i recalled a thread a while back regarding the Death Penalty.
So i pose to other insomnia ridden MMO Champions. After reading this story of a young life cut down.
Should the Death Penalty be imposed upon the stepmother?

Damn thats not a f***ing cookie its the body of a child. So without this deal the kid wouldn't atleast get a funeral. Besides.. death penalty is sick just as the people who will be executed..

i think its BS to make a deal with a murderer in general and i cant wait till the hammer falls on the father too. but personally i think that drug induced hypnosis used with interegation if ur innocent case dropped if ur guilty lets hang u up in the streets. but im a backwoods redneck what do i know about justice..........

But I will say this, the death penalty does indeed keep the criminal from ever murdering again.

What this person did is sick - yes. But if it weren't for this deal then you might not find the remains of the body... 30 years in prison might as well be the death penalty for a 40 year old.

Just because I am not a muslim does not mean that I cannot find the wisdom in such words.

If the family would rather not see the Death Penalty then I respect their choice. If you believe in Heaven or Hell, at least find solace in the fact that this evil person will not go unpunished.

The deal is not always with the killer's interest in mind (it's never really). In this case finding the remains can be something very important to the family of the victim, so they can finally get closure by having a burial/funeral etc. The family might not even really care if the killer gets death penalty or a life sentence as long as they know what happened and get closure. In other cases it can be of interest to the justice system to avoid high cost for long dragging trials instead of swiftly handling one, or getting a break in other cases... Like I said it's never with the convicted/suspect in mind but they also get a profit in some way. That's the trouble with deals...

It's fucking disgusting. She killed a kid. And she did it in a fucking brutal fashion. There were scrathes on the fucking bones! Can you imagine how fucking big the pain the girl had to feel!?. When an animal kills someone, they are killed.

If a human kills someone(unless it was self defence), he behaves like a fucking animal. Which means they have to be dealt with like an animal... Which means they need to be killed. And as someone said, Death Penalty is the only way to be 100% sure the murderer will NOT kill again...
