Divine Shield not helping against smoke bomb?

I was running some 2s earlier on my Holy Pally and we ran into a comp with a rogue in it.. 3 times in a row, and we lost 3 times because I couldn't heal my partner because I kept getting the message "Target is obscured" while I was trying to heal and I had divine shield on. I remember reading in a blue post that if pallies had divine shield active, smoke bomb would not affect them.
So am I wrong?

I think they meant if the paladin was inside the smoke bomb.
Your immunity can not affect another player being obscured by a LoS ability such as Smoke Bomb.

You mean like inside trying to target outside the smoke bomb?

Yes, also inside trying to target inside.

Well you get no interference if you're inside and target inside

Yeah like Naethigan says. It allows you to target while YOURE in it. It doesnt work if your partner is the one in it and you are trying to heal him from 30 yards away.
