<Dystopia> is an semi-hardcore level 25 Horde raiding guild on the US-Spinebreaker (PvP) server. We are currently running 10-mans, but are recruiting to progress into 25 mans. We were founded on April 1st, 2011, and we maintain around 100 accounts in the guild. We generally always have multiple people online, and we're a very active guild. The age of our members ranges from 16 to mid 20s, however all of our members are expected to act mature. While we like to play around, being dumb is just annoying.
What You Can Expect From Us
We offer a progression-minded raid environment. We continually make sure that each of our raiders is performing at the top of their game and those who are found to be under performing are asked to step up their game in a constructive manner. Our intent is not to embarrass, but to help improve. While we do like to have fun in between bosses, during trash pulls, on off nights and etc., we know when it's time to get down to business and be serious. On off nights, we offer things like Rated Battlegrounds, Heroic runs, alt runs, achievement runs through old content, as well as multiple guild Arena Teams.
What We Expect From You
We expect first and foremost that you know how to play your class at a proficient level. We can get you the gear you need, we can help you with enchants, but skill can't be "taught." Skill has to be there. Secondly, we need you to be open to constructive criticism and also be willing to recognize if you're under performing and seek help if you are unable to acquire it on your own. We also require that you are a mature player who likes to have fun and be silly when appropriate. We want to make sure before you get here that you are a player that we will have fun spending at least 12 hours a week with. We also prefer that you are a player who is typically online for more than just to raid - it's no fun to raid with someone that logs in for the raid, logs out afterwards, and then is not seen until the next raid.
General Guild Policies
1. Harassment will NOT be tolerated. If we receive a report of harassment by one of our guild members, we will investigate the issue, and it will typically result in immediate removal from the guild.
2. You represent the guild as a whole. As such, when playing on any character that has our guild tag under its name, you are expected to obey all Blizzard policies and do what you know is right. If we find out that you have been misrepresenting the guild in a negative light, you will be warned the first time, and the second time will result in immediate removal from the guild.
3. We try to maintain a drama-free environment. As such, anyone who is found to be causing drama or any sort of problems will first be given a warning, and then be removed from the guild.
Raiding With Us
2. We are a tight-knit group of raiders. We have a set group that we plan on going in with every night, and these people are our Raiders. When our Raiders are unavailable for some reason, those people at the lower ranks will be pulled in. Those that are not a part of our "main progression" group are welcomed to join the alt-raids that we have scheduled each Thursday.
3. Only main characters are allowed in the raid. Depending on raid composition, however, the raid leader or role leader may request that you bring an alt in order to have a better group (e.g. we don't have enough healers for the night and you have a healer alt).
4. We use a Loot Council system to distribute loot in our 25 mans. Factors that we look at when determining winners are: size of upgrade, overall performance, dedication to guild, and very rarely rank.
5. Raiders are expected to keep 90% attendance.

About Us:
Dauntless is a "midcore" raiding guild on Malfurion server. We've been around since shortly after TBC when a group of us broke off from a larger casual guild to start raiding, but many of our members have been around since the old vanilla WOW days. We are looking to replace a few that have taken a break due to the upcoming nice weather, school or other real life responsibilities. We are an adult guild (note, I did not say mature, we do like to have fun).
We say "midcore" because we aren't going to be top guild on the server, but we aren't last either. We're a pretty laid back group trying to manage that fine line between keeping raiding fun and keeping progression going. We move at our own pace (Which has picked up nicely in the last week or so), get the same loot and titles and laugh while doing it. It's important to enjoy yourself while you're raiding! We're family friendly; For clarity sake our vent is NOT but the overall guild is, nobody loses a raid spot because they have to afk quick to drop spouse aggro, tuck in the kids or need a few nights off to take care of a sick child.
About You:
We are looking for dedicated raiders that will take the time to read up on their class, boss strategies, and read over the forums when new strategies are posted. We are looking for raiders that can make at least 2/3 nights a week and are raid ready.
At minimum you should be:
Level 85and raid-ready.
You must be at least 18 years of age. Exceptions are made occasionally, depending on the strength of the applicant and their application. This is rare.
Own your own account and do not share that account with others.
Have a stable Internet connection.
Have Ventrilo with a working microphone and be willing to download all the required raiding mods.
Have a pure PVE spec that is gemmed, enchanted and glyphed for maximum PVE efficiency.
Should not be easily offended, and be able to take a joke. The exception is jokes about children, those result in an immediate gkick. Vent is rated R at times.
An ability to listen and to follow instructions, learn strategies independently, play your class in a raid and willingness to adjust your spec to perform the role you are assigned.
NOTE: Adjusting your spec does not mean we're going to make you play Resto when you applied as Feral, for example. We don't do that. You can stay in your selected primary spec, we just expect your talents and your gear to be singularly focused on raiding. Your secondary spec if you have dual spec is your own choice.
Zero-Drama Policy:
We have a strict zero-tolerance policy in regards to drama. This includes griefing other players (e.g. standing on your Mammoth mount in the Dalaran fishing pool to irritate other players), starting drama in trade/general chat or the forums, or the type of girlish interpersonal drama to get people bickering in guild. These types of behaviors result in immediate removal. We are a tight-knit guild and don't take scrubs that cause drama.
