Last night...Kovalev gets cross checked into Roleson...and gets called for goalie interference..Tampa scores....Pittsburgh shrugs it off and wins anyway...no crying or excuse making

umm. i guess you don't realize that last year we had more days lost to injuries than anyone else in the league.
furthermore. Datsyuk played 56 games this season. he missed over two months. we missed him. we grinded on.
Daniel Cleary missed 14 games this year. we grinded on.
Mike Modano missed 42 games this year. we grinded on.
Chris OSgood missed most the damn season. we grinded on.
as a matter of a fact the only 2 Redwings to play an entire season were lidstrom and helm.

damn, i guess we didn't have injuries.

He would be complaining and making excuses, I think he already did early in this post where the finals game was moved up 8 days and they had players missing.

but we did. every penguin who didnt play games 1-4 was a healthy scratch.
Redwigns had 3-4 Injured Scratches every game.

by the way. the eastern conference is a joke. they don't have 1/5th the travel of the teams in the west and they don't have to worry about starting early or later than there normal 7-730 start sans 7-8 times a year. must be rough.

You sir have Detroit Tunnel-vision. Detroit is going to melt when they come up against a team like Vancouver further down the line. I'm just a hockey fan, not a fan of one team or another and you're not looking at it on equal terms at all. You've got a hate on for one of the best players in the NHL, that's all. You disliking Crosby doesn't make him any less great of a player, just makes you look silly for going on about "Your Wings". I for one think that Pittsburgh is going a lot further than many people thought they would missing 2 of their best players in the most important stretch of the regular season. Penguins are proving to a lot of people that they are more than just Crosby and Malkin.

What if your "beloved" Wings lost Datsyuk and Zetterberg or Lidstrom? Would they be able to do the same thing as Pittsburgh without their premier players? Or would you be making excuses for them using the lack of their best players as a reason for their poor performance? Either way, you have to commend Pittsburgh for continuing on as well as they have without their big guns.

Pittsburgh should be the ones getting eliminated. Stamkos has been a ghost when I have watched him play. He is going into the summer looking for a contract as an RFA and yet he is nowhere to be seen most of the time right now. You don't earn a big contract by playing like a god all regular season then vanish when the playoffs hit.
