    Lexmark S300-S400 Series Printer Errors

This post will take the form of two parts. The first will be troubleshooting the ink issue, the second the wireless issue.

    -First : Ink Issues
Recently I purchased a computer. As part of a package deal, I was able to obtain a Lexmark S300-S400 Series Printer. After about a month of disuse, I put the cartridges in and decided to hook the thing up. After taking ages to align the printer, it finally printed a test page. The test page looked like this:

I was incredibly concerned, so I picked up the computer, and fresh, liquid ink was all over the base, on the inside. After wiping it up with a paper towel, I printed off two more test pages.

It seems to have worn off the rollers on the inside, so that it's not leaving such a heavy blue stain from the ink. I printed off three informational pages, which provide ... information on the printer's status.

As you can see, the blue ink is completely absent from 2 of the 3 pages, and the red ink isn't much better. For clarity's sake, all their information is the same. The only thing that changes is the "Number of Pages Printed".
The rest of the information is as follows:

    Second Issue- Network
    Solved
Regardless my distance from my router, or my settings, I'm unable to connect my wireless printer to my computers.
I printed a network page to see what's going on...

First Problem: Most likely a bard cartridge or head, i'd personally take it back... but you're beyond that.
Second Problem: While not the same, I have a brother laser, with wired/wireless. No matter what I did configuring it manually it would not work wirelessly. I had to reset it, use it wired and use their software to set it up to use wireless. Works fine after that.
REAL First Problem: Ewww @ Inkjet (Yes I know it was psuedo free, but still)

Wireless worked, it took an absurd amount of time to get it to. Now i'm having issues with the cartridges. Both red and blue aren't printing. At all.

Thinking it may be the cartridges, going to replace after I run a deep clean.

I have no idea why the ink didn't work, but the install CD didn't exactly install the proper software on my computer. I went back and reinstalled everything and it worked.
