Don't you think this will be sort of a mess? especially in PvP.
There are currently 10 Conditions and 7 Boons, far less than in other MMOs to my knowledge.

Anyone know what kind of graphic cards they used in E3 Gamescon to run the demo?
can anyone give me an example of mid a ranged gaming PC?
i ran the free guild wars 1 trial on my PC at ultra graphics about 4 months ago.

They use GTX 460 in the demo machines.

GW1 at ultra doesn't say much on GW2 though. You could build a PC yourself for ~£500 that will play Gw2 on high maybe max depending on resolution. It's not going to be a demanding game.

ty guys for telling me about the trial, I'm gonna use it to figure out if my computer can handle the Ultra settings now

Rift's free trial is better for testing if you'll be able to run it to be honest. Rifts badly optimized and has minimun specs that would be closer to GW2.

GW1 + Ultra settings mean nothing for GW2.

I remember them saying that if you can handle GW1 at Ultra, you can handle GW2 on normal settings, that's what I wanted to test

I doubt that my computer could handle GW2 on ultra anyway

Specs and what could you run wow at?

I use a laptop with these specs currently.

    Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4300 @ 2.10GHz (2 CPUs)
    4GB RAM
Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
    1366x768 Resolution

I can play GW1 maxed out smoothly on that, but I'm doubting it will play GW2 on low to be honest, that's why I said try Rift.

I could run WoW at High settings but not max

I'm not sure what you mean by specs, can you give me a list of information to find?

    CPU, GPU, RAM, Resolution.

Click the Windows button, hit "Run", type in "dxdiag". Gives you everything.

If you're on Win7, just click Win button, type "dxdiag"

ook I think this is right:

    CPU: Intel(R) Pentium (R) Dual CPU E2180 @2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series
    RAM: 3 GB
    Resolution: 1600 x 900

my pc ran WOW at high-ultra (shadows on fair) with V sync 60 fps everywhere except cities
i had 35 fps during combat in 25 man raids.
    Amd Phenom 2 at 2.8Ghz
    AMD radon 6850
    1366x766 19 inch monitor
do you think GW2 is CPU intensive game or GPU?

You'll be fine on atleast low settings then, I'm not going to say higher due to us having no minimun specs though.

You'll be more than fine for GW2 with that setup. MMO's usually require more CPU power than GPU, so I expect the same from GW2.

My guess is low-medium and if your having fps problems i would suggest lowering your ingame resolution.

    This is true

How do you think I'd do?
    CPU:Pentium (R) Dual-Core CPU T4500 @2.30GHz ~2.30GHz
    GPU:Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Worth noting that more than likely GW2 will support quad core CPUs.

Go with low-medium, we need some specs to be announced to give better information on PC capability.

True, just as long as I know I can play it I'll be happy

Which means my Radeon HD 5770 that's arriving soon will be able to, though slightly less, play at the level of detail and fluidity that the demo machines did. I've also got a 3.00ghz quad-core CPU to take care of that bottleneck.

    Ty guys for the advice

I usually play games in windowed mode, does that cause any problems?
