When I played WoW I had auto-run on my mouse, very easy to reach.

Where does the GW2.exe downloader place the files on your hard drive?

I found mine in temp (search for GW2.dat).
Made a new folder, placed it in program files, named it Guild Wars 2 and placed all of those 3 files (Gw2.dat, Gw2 and Gw2.tmp) in there.
Works fine.

Searching through my temp folder and looking for the files Dewote mentioned, it's nowhere to be found (which is odd since I had the client open and running.)

Not that big of a deal, I'll just download it again, this time running it from my desktop for good measure.

The chances are it will continue to download into temp folder.
I found these files in some oddly named folder with numbers and letters mixed.
Open My Computer, click the search bar on the top right corner and type in GW2.dat, should find them that way.

I actually did that >_> nothing.

It's downloading onto my desktop now, the files you mentioned are there now.

Hrm... maxed at level 20, only human/charr/norn. Can play the personal storyline, do hot join and wvw, Lion's Arch will be open... Okay then!

Glad they're not spoiling too much content. Too bad we won't get access to elites as a result, without going into the Mists.
