It sounds little different from the "fatigue" system of the Elder Scrolls series, which IMO was a good system and I think it'll add a much more immersive feeling to MMOs, removing the sort of "sleepless, untiring robot juggernaut" feeling that can develop when you can literally down EVERYTHING in one night.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.
Just, be kind.
Yes, one of the Asura racial elite skills is a golem battlesuit.
If you're wondering what that means, on your bar the last slot is reserved for an "elite" skill.
Elite skills can be racial or class based, and are very powerful but have long cooldowns (12 minutes in most cases).
There's quite a bit wrong I noticed in your thread, but 2 main things that bugged me:
Yes, there are quests. and no, it is not an OPEN persistent world but closed
There are no quests, it's called dynamic events (the difference is that you actually see stuff happening rather than only reading about them, and that there's no grind involved).
Please explain what you mean by "closed" persistent world, afaik there's no such thing.

Then do explain, since both of us don't seem to understand what you are referring to.
Considering you can run from one side of the world to the other without any load screens (which they have mentioned is possible and could take a great deal of time to do so) seems pretty open to me

for the one who said i was wrong..just watch the video a little bit past the 6 minute mark..thank you
I've been trying to watch gameplay videos and I've noticed that I hate all human videos. I first saw a human thief and thought the class looked terrible then saw a video of a charr and then thought different of the the class. Its hard to get much from a lot of the videos especially the low level ones and ones that have someone who doesn't know how to play using a class for the first time. So far Warriors look the funnest. Duel axe type. I'm interested in guardians too but haven't seen much footage that is not human. Humans just look so stiff and clunky to me. Charr or Asura is definitely going to be my race but still trying to check out the different classes.
Among the dynamic events are there going to be profession specific quests and sorta like an epic quest line to follow based on your class?
You don't talk to an NPC to initiate a dynamic event.
The personal storyline involves making choices that change your personality traits in the game as well as letting you experience your own customized story. If you think of them as a chore, then I question why you play video games at all.
I just read a Preview on gamestar.de
What I noticed is that they said the Alpha wouldn't be finished before 2012. So even if things go well, we're still not looking at a release before mid-2012.
That sucks.
They also bitched a bit about the fact that, yes, Guild Wars 2 does in fact have quests (for you personal story) and that even without the holy trinity, some classes like the Guardian still suit the tank role.

Actually, I thought they confirmed a playable beta in 2011? Will try and find a link to that in a sec.
Edit: Here it is from the official FAQ
When will there be a beta?
We will be conducting small closed alpha and beta tests in 2011. The feedback from these tests will determine when we will do public beta tests and ship the game. Guild Wars 2 is a very large and ambitious game, and Guild Wars players rightfully have very high expectations. We want players to be absolutely blown away by the game the first time they experience it.

That's the official quote, but as you see they don't want to overcommit to a time-range for the public beta because they are well aware of what can happen (Valve Time and Blizzard Soon). When will there be a beta?

The developers said there will be no quest in Guild Wars 2, period.
This game is going to dominate the MMO industry.
