Edit: Oh, huge thanks for the compliments a couple of pages back! I completely forgot to check back a few days after posting. And no, I don't plan to shave, Trixie. :P
That is to say, very nice costume
and on the ginormous pictures, if you already uploaded them with imgur, it does different sizes automatically, just add s m or l before the .jpg.
A good way is to post a smaller version and link it to the original, like so: [ url=url/PICTURE.jpg][ img]url/PICTUREm.jpg[/img]

I was kidding you. I have served alongside several Marines and constantly pick at them (and vice-versa). In fact, I am (no joke), wearing a Pink T-Shirt that says "Marines" on it right now. I originally bought it as a joke to wear around the Patrol Base, along with Air Force PT shorts.
I lost 30 pounds in Basic Training myself, and with that being said, my Basic Training was 19 weeks long, with another 4 weeks of Airborne school tacked on immediately afterwards. The Marines send their Infantrymen to Basic Training with their cooks, and desk clerks, then get another additional 2 weeks of Infantry school for a total of 15 weeks of training. The ARMY separates their scouts, and infantrymen completely from the regular 9 week Basic Training (read: not "one" month), but it's really quite irrelevant.
Five years from now, you won't even be able to recall Boot Camp or it's relevance after you've served several years overseas. One month in Afghanistan was worse than Basic Training, Ranger School, Airborne School, and Sniper school all combined into one.
Oh, and...Stress cards never existed. They were a funny joke that other scouts, and infantrymen popularly used to ostracize support soldiers, but in actuality they never existed.
PS. Thanks for serving.
