4.2 Shadow Priest pvp

Since they didnt give us the dispel nerf, and they nerfed our dot dmg, but cranked our mindflay and mind blast (which is stupidly hard hitting as is, 40k + crits, and then paralized for 4 secs, REALLY? ) B/c of the 12% dot nerf, and the 12% dmg casting buff, how do you think S.priests will fair come 4.2 ?

- Take into consideration ,almost all melee clases are getting nerfed, and we already wreck most casters because of the ability to strip them of any protective barriers.

SPriests will continue to be as they have been since the dispell nerf, weak warlocks at best and extremely powerful in the hands off a good player/good teammates. They will still be tunneled into the floor.
The only difference is getting dots dispelled is less of a big deal when you can hit a 30k mindblast crit on 3k+ resil (numbers estimated based on current PTR damage, may be high)

My point to the above posts, is we do have EXTREMELY good kiting, with the 4pice mooncloth, that suppresses movement impairing effects, and the fade tallent, we have a hand of freedom every time fade is off CD. And a small one everytime Bubble is applied(every 15 secs). From the multiple hours I have been reading, they DID NOT get a dispell nerf. We can still dispell offensively aswell as defensively. still making mage/priest amazing for stripping the target of any bubbles/damage mitigation CD"s possible. While allowing the mage to pummel face, and the dots and mind blasts to crit to high heaven. Include 3x sheep, disarm,deepfreeze, fear, and 2x silence, I see Mage/priest (shadow or disc) rocketing. Even though they gave us 12% less dot dmg, they gave us 12% more casting dmg, which was our burst, so we apply more pressure now, so in that CC of sheeps or fears, we drop bombs. INC. 50k Mind blasts with archangel, orbs and tinket. Mage/Priest are 2 glass cannons, go to break one, get wrecked by the other.


IF you still belive Priests got a dispell nerf (meaning we cannot dispell anyone but ourselvs) PLEASE POST A LINK, i will be gratefull

4.2 buff: mind spike usable while locked out of shadow school.
It seems like they're really trying to promote mindspike/instant mindblast spam next season

Wonder how shadowplay will work now in 3s...SPriest/heals might be viable now with the dot dispel protection though. Spriest/mage sounds like it will be even better now though.

It seems like they're really trying to promote mindspike/instant mindblast spam next season

Mind Spike was advertised to be usable while locked out since its inception. (the change to that is no more than a bugfix)
DoT damage nerfed and direct damage buffed because multiDoTting was grossly overpowered in PvE.

These changes weren't made for the sole purpose of "promoting Mind Spike spam".

Well in PvP it will be a lot more powerful and easier to pull off anyways.

Spriest Rdruid should work.
