Xsplit file problem when i shall edit video

Hello. I did record a video trough XSplit, everything was fine. I opened it with VLC and it was pefect. Added it to youtube made the first 10-15 seconds to become some gray thing on your screen, but then it was ok. Heard that you can edit your movie into some program as windows movie maker 2.6 to make some intro for these seconds. But the thing is that it can't open my FLV file that my movie is recorded with... googled everything , no good answer...
so the main problem is really, what do i need to do so i can open my movie into movie maker program?

You may need to download a set of Codecs, (which can be found [here] , and need to be set up correctly)

You may also then need a splitter, depending on if your default Microsoft one works correctly or not (such as one of the ones shown on the picture):
