Moving there in a few weeks, it seems nice enough.
Other than the smallest pub in Europe (Apparently) and the Abbey gardens, does anyone of the general area know of anything to do there? Where's the nearest decent gig venue, metal club/bar etc?
Random topic, I know. But I'm leaving everything behind in my home town and wondered if anyone could shed some light on the place ^^
Can't say I know much about it, but I'd expect the nearest decent gigs venue to be in Cambridge, or maybe Colchester/Norwich.
As to the rest of it .. I remember it being a smallish town, population around 35k (so *far* smaller than what you're used to in Brighton). You may find it doesn't have it's own metal club/bar, etc.
The Apex is pretty big and does have some big bands, for example I saw Funeral for a Friend there earlier in the year. I'm from Norwich so don't know any metal club/bars there.
