By simply mining you can net about 1000g/hr. That wouldn't be good at all. Lol.

It depends on how you farm gold, as a jewelcrafter I can do much more but it's really time consuming (have to stay at the AH to be sure I'm the lowest price and put another gem every time somebody buy mine)
But to answer your question most of the players don't do so much money in only three days (probably because they're not interested, or just because they prefer real life instead of virtual gold)

People exaggerate all the time on here saying they can make 20K in a day etc. Give me a break. Unless you get some rare drops or something a long those lines, it's pretty darn hard to get that much so fast. Even playing the AH, it's all about luck.
