    Buying my first computer

So to start out ill let you guys know that i'm 15, a moderate techy. I play video games but i no longer play wow but i thought i would go to the gaming experts for some advice.

Now to the computer...Here are a couple of things that are important.
    • My budget is around 750-800 but it can stretch a bit if it has too.
    • I myself will be building the computer but due to the fact that it is my first time ill probably recruit some help (family/family friends).
    • I want this computer to last for several years (at least 4)
    • I want the computer to be easy to upgrade.
    • I plan to buy and build the computer by Christmas if all goes well.
    • I am not looking to buy monitors, keyboards, ect. right now.
    • I currently do not know how to overclock but i will want to try it once i feel more experienced.

Somewhat requirements (i guess they can budge a bit) but if something better is available for the money then im all good.
    • 600gb of Hard drive space.
    • 4gb of Ram
    • 1Gb of dedicated Video Card memory
    • 3.0GHz Processor (more is better)

If you are still reading this then chances are u found an error in my spelling, specifications, logic, ect. Im a teenager I will make mistakes please kindly point them out and ill fix them.

    Now to the build...(using newegg)

gpu - I'd recommend getting a 560ti, it'll last you longer.. at least 2 years or so, then you can replace it (700 series should be out by then?) and get another 2 years out of the system.
psu - corsair is a good brand but their builder series only has 34 amps, not really meant for gamers. If you need a cheap reliable one then this is the best option http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371031 ... only $50 after rebate, and 48 amps on the 12v rail... much more powerful.
everything else seems perfect, though you might want to consider 2x4gb ram if you plan on using it for 4 years.

ps. overclocking is easy as pie with sandy bridge cpu's.. and gpu's are even easier to overclock. You should be able to get 4.5ghz with the hyper212+ cooler.
If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One... now I am become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds.

it's a decent build, but if you aren't planning on getting this until christmas then a lot will change in that time and a much better build will be available in the same price range

Exactly shop then, by then there will be a new AMD processor release and it could end up toppling the i5 2500k as the CPU of choice. I highly doubt that will happen but hey. So yeah while it is fun to shop before hand if you aren't buying until the end of the year then look at the end of the year just wasting time now.

Ditch the 460 for a 6870 or if you can afford it a 560 Ti (The price range isn't that large). Everything else looks pretty solid
