    ASUS SmartDoctor

So I got a new gfx card ASUS Geforce GT440, and it came with a program called SmartDoctor,
where i can adjust 3 things Engine, Shader and Memory, I was wondering what they do,
and if I can change them without frying my PC,
    my specs are as follows:
    Power Supply: 680w
    Memory: 4gb
    Heatsink: Factory Default
    CPU: intel core2 quad 2.33GHz

    Thanks muchly

With the other things you have listed I would say leave it alone.

It's overclocking your graphics card. Basically, you can completely destroy your system if not done right, and carefully.

download a stress tester, like FUMAR.

    1) Take your core clock up 50 mhz (shaders will move with them)
    2) Run Fumar for 4 minutes looking for artifacts.
3a) if no artifacts, return to step 1
3b) if artifacts, take your vcore up by .01, return to step 2

Continue monitoring temps while doing this, I like to stay below 65-70°C while doing stress testing.

Look up save vcore range for your card.
    Don't overdo it.
OC'ing a GPU may not net you much end result at all in terms of performance.

This is a very watered down version of how to OC a GPU.
