Hello on march 2010 I purchased and i am looking at upgrading my gpu from a 260gtx.

OCZ ModXstream Pro 700W modular PSU
AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4GHZ Black Edition

    Current Comp

    ma-770-us3 (gigabyte mobo rev 1)
    965 be as above
4gb ocz ram as above - cnat find link to this old ddr2
260gtx - dont know exact model

Main question i have is upgrading from the North Bridge AMD 770 and South bridge AMDSB700 to the AMD 970/SB950 and is the ddr2 to ddr3 going to be a big performance differnce.

    Computer parts looking at upgrading

    Mobo- ma-770-us3 to ASUS m5a97 $114.00
GPU - 260gtx to MSI GTX560 TI Twin Frozr II OC $255.00 or Gigabyte ATI HD6950 1GB OC GDDR5 DVI HDMI $259.00
    SSD - Corsair Force Series 60GB $118.00 or OCZ Agility 3 60G SATA3 SSD $122.00

Note i do not currently have a ssd and getting a 60gb ssd for widnows 7 and wow.

Main games i will be playing this/next year: WoW, Diablo 3, HoN, Dota 2, BF3

Note - all upgrading parts i have looked at are in the guide.png and gpubenchmark for performance value and there peformance.

I am in australia so all parts will be either from most likely umart.com.au or mwave

    - Motherboard upgrade will require you to change RAM too from DDR2 to DDR3.
    - Changing motherboard + RAM will give around 10-15% speed boost because the old AM2+ board is gimping your CPU.
    - If you want big boost for WoW, change motherboard and CPU to Intel side, and get the new RAM as well.
    - Rather get the MSI Twin Frozr card instead of Gigabyte for graphics. Much better cooler (you might need it in Australia).

    Trolling should be.
