Anyway, I went back into photoshop, made the background transparent, then saved it as a PNG, but I can't seem to make it retain it's transparency when I upload it. Solution?

Okay, what was original file type, and upload it / give it to me.

For some reason it ended up as a .gif when you uploaded it.

You'll have to blame the MMO-C's 'save' method -.-... I was thinking of putting a suggestion to just have it linked directly from the outside if possible. (Yeah that's going to get shot down)

Yeah, the source image isn't exactly great to begin with =\

Also this is a jpeg artifact in a more obvious fashion.

See the little well, distortions around the image, those are artifacts that generally you can't create yourself unless you really have no life, and are created by the compression system that jpg files have.

Because the image you want to use as avatar is 19kb. MMOC re-sizes every avatar over 10kb.

Right, I gathered that much. I didn't know about the auto-resize though. Realistically, can I get that down to 10kb without butchering it?

Well I think I had a rather clever idea as far as reducing size while keeping quality goes, but the finished product will have to wait till later. Its past 5am, and I'm told I've got videos to film today.

Anyway, I'm back a bit earlier than expected. Operation: Get Some Fucking Sleep was a horrible failure. Fortunately, I've got plenty of coke, root beer, and mountain dew in my fridge so I'm going to see if I can push through the day and just call it quits around 8pm or so. Maybe earlier, if today's commitments wrap up quickly.
