Stardust just seems so full of happy right now.
Games have been fantastic so far.
Made the swap to Random and I near instantly got back to Platinum, which seems dumb considering I'd never really played Terran or Zerg before and it took me ages to get to Plat as protoss. My protoss winrates are pretty high I think I'm at like 70-80% winrate, wonder if I'd push diamond. My TvT is like 50% I quite like that, TvP is a clusterfuck and TvZ was awful but getting better, will close in on 50% soon I hope but not played in a while. Computer is too old and lags though so splitting is a nightmare actually in a game, but I can do Marine Split Challenge acceptably so fuck me right. ZvT is awesome, ZvZ god knows and ZvP I think I'm making progress on.
On the upside, moved into uni today and a guy was already moved in. He told me how he'd nerded out on DOTA all summer but was going to download Starcraft as he was watching it. He explained games to my parents and he described Starcraft as the level above DOTA and that I was good at it (loljk I play like I have downs). I mentioned that my computer lags too much to play it properly. Dad goes "well we'll just get you a new computer"
fuck yeah
wow cool story, now u get new pc and friend who plays games )))
DOTA player, he'll play games badly! How can I 1 a to victory as protoss and feel good about it.
do you guys like Yeezus
As much as I'd want a Protoss to take the final, I really think Flash is going to take it. Mirror matches are pretty boring, but I'd rather have PvP than the alternatives.
Wtf soO wtf.
Talk about Bomber raining on my parade.
So my dad decided to look at laptops to buy so I could play Starcraft (and do uni work), sent me some emails this morning and linked me a £1700 Alienware laptop, I think I might be sick.
That's about $10000 or 20000 europes
I was thinking like buying a new graphics card.
Alienware is really expensive. I don't know much about gaming laptops, but I know a lot of people in the computer forums don't like alienware for the aforementioned reason.
Free laptop is free though, so it'd be up to you to decide what you would want.
Was my thoughts too. The stigma about Alienware is huge as far as I know plus really, I'm not that much of a gamer anymore. Even then I used to play World of Warcraft for 8 hours a day so was I that much of a gamer anyway?
From what I know about it, they're pretty decent for gaming but that's kind of it. I'm not looking specifically for a gaming laptop but something that I can run Starcraft on nicely would be all that I need plus more as long as I can get facebook access which is the most important, being a student. Will have to find out my specs and just slightly increase those, I really don't need all that much more and I sure as hell don't need a specialised gaming laptop.
