This is my alt wich I started to play more serious this patch. Armory shows holy activated, but Disc is MS and going smitespec today.
I know my spirit is high, but I kinda like to play holy in the side aswell, just can't decide what secondary stat to pressure more atm.

any toughts ? crit + mast as smite spec or ?

You should change a few things, you should switch that 40 mastery gem to a 20int 20 mastery one. Also switch wrist enchant to 50 int. Personaly i would also slam in 40 int gems in your gloves and belt, since those setbonuses are too poor to sacrifice using a blue gem in, it will grant you more output.
I would also move the 2 talent points you currently have in strength of Soul and max out Inner Sanctum and Mental Agility If you are not strictly tank healing.

I run 10mans and have been thinking about using the haste staff off of deathwing and instead of reforging my spirit into hast into mastery. idk what do you guys think im at 2200 hast unbuffed when my trinket procs in a raid im down to 1.6 sec cast

Healing both tank and raid depends on fight and raidsetup. I do 10mans.

Since you're primarily tank healing, Glyph of PoM can be a nice addition, rather than dispell, though I guess that's just imo. And I'd pop a 50 int gem in that cloak, atleast. Aside from that, you've got 0.66 mastery going spare till you come by a bit more that you could dump into crit/haste/spirit.

I'm a little confused by your reforging. You have some circular reforging going on by going out of spirit and putting it into mastery.

Then turning around and going from haste back into spirit. o.O

I'm assuming you are trying to get everything evened up. Why not go Haste->Mastery on your cloak, Haste->Mastery on your Wand, and restore your Gloves to their original stats. That should hold you over until you get the Heart of Unliving from either Raid Finder or Normal. Once that's done you can reforge out of ALL of your spirit and gain a boatload of haste/crit/mastery in return. That's what I did when I got mine. That's 780 free sexy stat points.

Hey Lizon, there was some logic behind my forges, I just for the life of me can't remember what it is right now since I've just woke up and my morning coffee hasn't kicked in yet! But I'll give what you suggested a go, then it's just hoping the RNG Gods smile upon me with Heart of Unliving (though not so far ).

It's cause with my Heart of Unliving maxed out I'm still at 2700+ spirit. ^.^

Earthlady - i can see you picked up veiled shadows, i cannot see the point in that talent, only fight worth to pop your shadowfeint is Madness and there is a lot of mana coming from overal raid, so i would rather spent them into haste ... generaly i started value haste much more, see mine ...

I apparently am not allowed to post links yet so here is most of the armory link. That being said, we're a normal 10 man DS guild, currently 7/8 (got spine last night for first time!). Spine has really been the only fight that had mana issues as a healer so far.

Restore your belt reforges to their default values and leave it alone. You are reforging out of Mastery and putting it into haste then you turn around and reforge spirit back into mastery for some odd reason.

With your Heart of Unliving you are in the range of 3800+ spirit maxed out. That is far more spirit than You really need IMO. I would highly suggest reforging out of spirit on some of your gear instead of haste and drop your spirit to more acceptable levels. If you are having trouble on spine that can be more of a debuff watching issue. Don't use as many AOE heals and use more direct healing.

Well your trinket gives you 780 free spirit. Try reforging out of that much spirit on your gear and see how it goes. You prob won't notice any difference in your healing at all.
