i cant say i have a favorite genre, since i like a little of everything, but if i had to pick one it would have to be sci-fi (bebop/ghost in the shell)

Not too many anime like Cowboy Bebop, unsurprisingly. Closest and high quality: Black Lagoon. There is also some overlap with Gunslinger Girls in your list from anime like Noir and Madlax.

As for decent sci-fi, there's a ton. Good one is: Ergo Proxy or if that's too serious, Fullmetal Panic!

As for other unmissable action-type ones not on your list:

    Berserk
    Death Note
Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)
Shinsekai Yori (From the New World)

And if you liked some of the first half of SAO, you may much prefer Log Horizon

I am in need of some new Anime to watch, but am looking for something somewhat specific: It has to include epic speeches. Speeches where you cannot help but get goosebumps time and time again. Some examples would include Hellsing Ultimate, Death Note and to a lesser degree stuff like One Piece (Whitebeards last speech comes to mind) or Zetsuen No Tempest (The scene where Mahiro, Yoshino and Samon are arguing trying to get Hakaze back/preventing her from getting back). I cant very well put into words what exactly gets me excited in those though.
Heres a list of what i have already seen:

I can't say if it meets the epic speech criteria or not but judging by just the genres you've got there.
Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova and maybe Valvrave

Ars Nova has a lot of spoken tactics and some monologue backstory. But I do not recall any speeches other than minor philosophical musings by the machine intelligences.

I didn't even try to tackle Comburo's request because his list already makes clear he has covered most of his bases there from modern anime.

Even Hunter x Hunter, which is a shounen anime - the type that tends to have the most "epic" speeches - does not really have any strong speeches, though there are a few good highlights in the long series.

It seems like it'll head down a Code Geass kinda direction, that's all. That one attempted many of those sorts of speeches.

I'm looking for more stuff for my wife to watch. She's really into horror sort of anime's. Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni is one that she really liked. I know Paranoia Agent also was pretty good. She loved the Hell Girl series.

Violence isn't an issue but graphic rape and things like that are not something we care to see. So, any suggestions?

Oh, and for any guys out there who want to delight the 14 year old inside of you, Red Line is awesome. No brains required, just an enjoyable 1 and a half hours.

order doesnt matter they both completly diffrent

full metal alchemist follow the start of the manga iirc and then take a completly diffrent turn, i think it had original ending

full metal alchemist brotherhood follow the manga closely and imo has a much better story
