Nerf Scrapbots [Ulduar]

How did you do this achievement, which tactic was used? I need oth 10 and 25 man but I suppose the tactic is the same.

Defeat 20 XS-013 Scrapbots within 12 seconds using XE-321 Boombots in 10/25-player mode.

Did this recently in both 10+25man.
We basically had boomkin + frostmage in 10 man, a few more in 25 man who went naked (so their typhoon/frostnova hit for lowest possible damage and therefore didnt kill the scrapbots) + shammy for earthbinds + surv hunter with entrapment skill.
Pew heart to 50% to force lots of adds spawning, tank then kited boss around while we made sure to keep everything grouped up nicely in each corners & then blew up the bots when we were sure we had enough sets.
Took a few tries to get right... for some stupid reason we failed it 2 times in 25 man with 19/20 scrapbots killed, even though we blew up extra sets within the timer.

yeh exactly have people who can aoe root/slow etc go naked to avoid killing them


or wait for a nerf, everything remotely challening must be nerfed!

Thanks, I didn't think about knockbacks at all, that will definately help. But you say you take boss from 100-75% and hen nuke heart to 50% and then yo have enough adds already? I don't think we could get 20 adds that way yesterday.

Why didn't you take heart to 10% instead of 50%?

Do you know the actual tactics of the fight or you just know how to zerg it since cata? You might wanna read up.

We tried some different tactics, one with kiting boss between heart phases and also one where we just parked boss in middle and nuked to get as many bots as possible as fast as possible, both gave us about 10/20 though, every time.
