I mean that is just factually incorrect. They are available from 10am PST on Christmas Day... which is 5am AEDT on Boxing Day. Not 6pm.

I know this because I got my presents well before 6pm on Boxing Day.

Well - tell the game that, because at 4pm I couldn't get them - at 5pm (AEST) I could.

So whinge at the game for being incorrect, not me.

Hmm... no. Opening on the eve would be like opening presents one day before your birthday.

"The eve of a particular event or occasion is the day before it, or the period of time just before it."

"Eve" is not the event (Christmas). It's the day before the event.

Also, very related, but a question for you: "New Year's Eve". Do you think New Year starts on the 31st of December, or the 1st of January?

Yes, I have a lvl18 character on the account. I could log it in and pick up the gifts / toys and do the achievement without Subscribtion.

Not sure what you consider "most" of the EU, in Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Sweden, (and non EU members) Switzerland and Norway presents are opened on december 24th, christmas eve.
France celebrates on 24th, although presents are usually opened on 25th.
In Netherlands its on December 6th and in Spain and Italy it's January 5th. So in the EU I think only Ireland celebrates it and opens presents on 25th.

What? No, presents and stockings are typically done on the day of the Holiday (the 25th). Some families I know do one small gift on the 24th at night but the bulk of the gifts are on the 25th. And yes New Years is typically celebrated on the first at midnight as the bell tolls and not on New Years Eve. You party leading up to the event of celebrating as the clock rolls over.

Personally I don't understand it myself, Christmas Eve = 24th, Christmas Day = 25th. My childhood was spent in England where we opened presents on morning of the 25th.

It's like celebrating your birthday a day before your birthday...

Look 3 posts up, and you'll see that 15 of 27 EU countries open presents on the 24th.. I don't know who taught you math, but in my book, 12 of 27 is not a majority.

Oh, I see you didn´t even bother to check if the information in that post was correct. Newsflash, it´s actually complete bullshit and wrong.

My point stands, that said, to smaller, less relevant countries such as Denmark or fucking Lithuania lmao I did not give as much relevance in my head canon, for that I apologize.

I'm from Germany and as long as I can remember I opened gifts on the 24th. 25/26th were days to meet grandparents / bigger family parties etc.

Opening presents are done on the 24th. Probably just those silly Americans who wait an extra night. /thread.

Everyone I know from the EU celebrates on the 24th. While that isn't any sort of definitive proof that most of EU does, it's definitely different than the UK and USA.
