They're less than a month out and only testing the introductory questline now?

Tested the questline. Very short introduction questline to show you where to go for the vendor and I suspect daily quest. You get a quest to complete the dungeon once and kill mobs in invaded zones. After that you get what I suspect will be a daily quest to kill more mobs in invaded zones.

As for the invasion. It seems there will be 3 active in 3 different zones with random assigned elements. For example when they became active for me it was 2 zones with fire elementals and one zone with air elementals. You can farm the smaller mobs in the invaded zones to get the currency to buy gear, invasions last for 90 minutes and every 30 minutes a boss spawns that can drop the same loot as the vendor, a quest item you can redeem for currency and a part to craft the boa trinket. Rewards are ilvl 252 and the vendor sells everything. Armor, weapons, trinkets and jewelry, a toy for 100 currency and a reagent bag for 5 currency. The invasion quests give a decent amount of currency. The introduction quest rewards a pet and 30 currency, the daily rewards 30 and the quest from the invasion boss gives 60. After doing the quests and the invasion (kill mobs to activate the boss and kill boss) I had about 200 currency. Gear costs around 35-45 currency per piece. So first day after doing one invasion you can buy the reagent bag, the toy and 2 pieces of gear. Doing one invasion boss cycle you have the chance to get a gear drop and get enough currency to buy at least 1 item.

As for the dungeon. The introcution quest rewards a weapon and the dungeon is only available on normal difficulty and rewards 278 ilvl.

Leveling with invasions seems to be OK. Seen someone test it and got 1 level per boss kill in the level 20-30 levelrange. Don't know how it scales in other levelranges.

Outrageous, they should have started the testing seven and a half years ago to make sure the 3 quests they've done three million times before work this time.

Are you okay dude? They are just people with no bigger concerns in life making clips about the videogame they love/hate. Idiots most of them, but that was never a condition for being "allowed" to live, otherwise the mmo-champion forum post sections would be empty.

A couple of observations from the test.

One is confirmation that it's not very good for xp on 50s. 50's are very squishy for the events, the mobs give very little xp, and the boss is only worth about 1 bar. The handful of quests give a bit, but it's definitely not a leveling event. The tokens are boa too so you're really better off doing them on 60s and sending tokens to alts that need to use them to buy catch-up gear.

The event mobs can drop blue bop gear, but it's ilvl matched to that toon, so sub-60's will just get fairly worthless 100's ilvl bop drops.

Lastly, because of the xp nerf coming on the 15th, you'll notice some toons will be very close to the next level when it drops. So for example, you're at 70k/280k (25%) of level 58 today. On the 15th you'll be at 99% of level 58 since 70k is basically at the cap after the nerf. Just something to keep in-mind for alts and prepping for the 15th.

Played around for a bit on the PTR for the event. It was rather ho-hum.
