Ragnaros 25 Heroic Mode World First Kill by DREAM Paragon
DREAM Paragon just killed Ragnaros in 25-Man Heroic Mode! Congratulations to them!

Ragnaros: Too soon! (From Paragon)

Or was it? No, not really. Not if you ask us.

We've NEVER put as much effort into a kill as we now did on downing Heroic Ragnaros. We had a few grueling low percentage wipes and we were already planning on continuing early tomorrow with a better set of gear. Our kill attempt was going to be our last pull of the night as the thunderstorms and disconnects were kicking in.

Then everything clicked. All of our combined effort, practicing, theorycrafting and planning finally paid off. We had a near-perfect try and Ragnaros just melted away. A wave of relief washed over us. It was finally over. We wiped 500+ times on the boss, although I lost count at some point. Absolutely epic feeling after such an epic fight!

We'd really like to thank all of you guys for supporting us. We also would like to extend our gratitude to our sponsors who help us do what we do; a big thank you to SteelSeries, ASUS and especially our new partner DREAM! We'd of course like to thank Blizzard and the developers as well. The hotfixes were lightning fast.

You can also follow us at our social media sites:

We will be releasing a video of our kill later on -- most likely as soon as someone else kills Ragnaros on Heroic. Until then, keep following us!

Yes but if you look at their recent news it shows you xenophics received the heroic tier helm token, so they were there.

Laziel and Xenophics both released by mistake at the end of the encounter, meaning they were there but didn't get the achievement.

In US 2 resets passed and nobody killed it. They will probably get it within the 3rd one with much more gear etc.
In EU 2 resets passed and Paragon got it.
So its only "EU/US First" when its convenient to EU, got it.

Becuase .....er..... well.....why a 1st anything matters in a video game anyway?

I would perfectly understand a 30 pages topic with title "World's first anti-HIV vaccine"

Why this is important and why the participants are acting like celebrities is beyond my understandings.

To the people talking about no shammans in the raid. The next kill will have a shamman or even more 100% Not every guild is like Paragon where they have like 5 chars or every class. Other guilds cant afford having no shammys in the raid. So if one guild kills it with no shammy its not like every other guild will.

You might want to take your limited understanding to some non-gaming related forum then.

The discussion is not about whether it is possible or not to kill ragnaros HC with shamans. More like, it is a fact paragon are not using shamans, there must be a reason to this, most likely that they are subpar in dps compared with other classes.

If in your mind easier = better, then sure. But i said that its easier to become world class in e-sport, then in real sport, never said e-sport is better. Also genes play a role in sports, but they are not everything. So its quite silly to trivialize all sports by saying that its all about genetic lotto.

yea but i mean, if they didnt have the 4 druids, 4 DKs and 4 priests im pretty sure they would have a shammy in the raid and there will be no shammy question anymore. If they had 6 of every of those classes maybe we wouldnt even see a rogue or a mage but they are still viable. There is sure to always be a class on top and Paragon just has so many damn chars that they can stack any class they want.

And that is why other guilds will have it coz no guild has so many chars to choose from like Paragon has.

Remember an Ensidia kid was crying on the forum here a week ago about STARS exploiting heroic modes, and demand other guilds to compete with them fairly? hahahahhahahaha

I wasn't talking about difficulty but accessibilty. My point was that more accessible -> more competitors -> harder to beceome the one on top. And as a former athlete, I wasn't trivializing anything, just saying that you really need for the stars to align to be the best.

But let's stop this silly argument, this threat is devoted to Paragon proving their awesomeness once again!

While on other hand no matter how much you practice you wont run 9.58 on 100 meters or do anything else that is being done in top of the sport.
I never said it will be rated higher. And I also wasn't just talking about WoW PvE.

You can train wtf you want but if your opponent is more intelligent than you (you can't train to become more intelligent) he will win. It's like playing chess, the more intelligent you are the more scenarios you can process and decide what move to make. Besides that you need hand eye coordination. You can train for that but if someone has talent he will always be better unless you train a lot more.

I played CS 1.6 for 7 years. I thought I was pretty good untill I played against a professional team one time. After 7 years of pretty serious training and experience they were still 10 times better.

Please stop comparing dragon slayers to professional athletes, thank you. Professional athletes train from very early on (sometimes 6 years old), they train from this point onwards more than 8 hours PHYSICALLY and mentally each day and often have a lot of health problems when they get older. They have a very strict diets and a very strict life, to get where they are they need to spend a lot of money which equals a little more than 3000 dollars for a gamer PC.
On top of that they recieve more money and also are a lot (and I mean by a magnitude of a bazillion times) more recognized in the public.
No athlete trains 8 hours a day physically or even physically + mentally, unless someone keeps on "meditating" for several hours on top of their physical practices every day, which I doubt very much. Human body can't take more than about 4 hours of training a day, training more would just hurt your progress.

Disntance runners and other athletes who train for endurance train something like ~4 hours a day physically at a maximum. Usually a couple of hours early in the morning and then another two later in the evening and they do have rest days too with little exercise. Those who want to gain power instead of endurance train even less daily. Of course their life is very strict and planned with all the diets and mandatory rest times etc.

Professional gamers often actually use more time for "training" but ofc you can't compare the athlete lifestyle to sitting on your butt for 8-10 hours and playing games.
