Cataclysm started off with such features as Path of the Titans and total world destruction; the end production was.. archaeology and a cutscene trying to convey why the world turned upside down, no actual in-game mayhem. Oh, and Deathwing showing up once in a blue moon to kill everyone in a given zone for an achievement.

Why is everyone so scared about playing as giant ****ING BEARS???? Thats right. BEARS. We already have giant cows....one of the most docile and boring animals on the planet. And now we finally get a race based off a cool animal and what does everyone do? They CRY!!!They wont be cute and adorable most likely (even if they are who cares? They're pretty big anyways.) They'll probably look like the figurine they sell in the blizz store:

WoW is a game that reached it's peak at the end of WOTLK anyway. It's now an aging dinosaur, and everyone that worked on the creation of WoW have since moved on to Project Titan or elsewhere. And with all the weird shit Blizzard is doing with Diablo III I wouldn't be surprised to see them try to milk the "cutesy dollar" some more in WoW with pandas. The really interesting question is what the horde race in such an expansion would be.

With other games and MMOs now eating away at millions of their older fans, you have to admit it kind of makes sense to take the entire game in that direction. WoW has a very, very young average age for it's audience, and is one of a few MMOs where the average age is actually going *down*, versus other games where the average age of the customer naturally increases as the gaming generations get older.
