What's with the importance to 10 levels instead of 5? The gap between expacs (I.e stats) will always jump up just as much, with 10 levels the jump is spread out more, and having 5 levels it jumps up more each level, also having 5 levels makes each level longer, it doesn't mean we skip half the work of leveling to cap :-/ I think 5 levels is better in that sense

So, free beta for everyone who gets this, let's be optimistic and assume beta starts half year after 4.3 hits live servers. Thanks to LFR everyone and his mother will be fed up with Dragon's soul after, hm, 3 months of farming. Doesn't take a genius to figure that there will be more players in MoP beta than on live servers...

And to all those SWTOR guys above me: I'm in beta and trust me, it's as mediocre western type MMORPG (as opposed to Asian style MMORPG) as it gets. Only thing that kind of get's it above the pack is SW lore. But if you don't really care about lore, just about the game, then you can play that, Rift or WoW, doesn't really matter.

Well, I for one, forgot to cancel my 6 month auto renewing wow sub and it just got charged about 5 days ago. Wondering if I got screwed I went to the website to see about this pass. All it does it takes the current date, and adds a requirement of paying for 365 more days of wow from NOW. 10-21-2011 for me as of this moment. Any time I already paid for gets rolled into this new time frame. So my 5 day old, 6 month sub I already paid for gets taken into account, since I don't care about the collectors of D3, I guess I just bought D3, a mount, and beta access for $77 plus wow access for a year since I went ahead and did it.
Now if I was in the $150 boat, not sure I would have, but since I just auto renewed, what the hell.

I have been playing WoW since last three or so years ... I tried to get that yearly pass thing. I landed on an error page. Frustrated I check me account AND to my Surprise, I "DO" have a future - D3 download activated in my account :-D

The annual pass is just one year of WOW from the day you start it.
The collectors of D3 is $99
The Expansion for wow will probably be $49.99
One year at the 6 month rate is about $154

Look at this way... are you gunna play wow? if the answer is yes, then you get some freebees. For me it made sense since I just renewed my 6 month so I have half of the year paid for already. It will cost me 1 more 6 month renewal to next April, sure, why not. If you don't want to play wow, then don't. Lots of other entertainment out there from Movies, to TV, to hundreds of other games. If you just want Diablo 3, then JUST get diablo 3. Don't play wow. Bitching and moaning about how a company sells its products does not. Speak with your money. Don't play or play. I'm pretty excited about the new expansion. And after playing for 7 years, its the same old complaints in forums, the same old changes that overhaul what people don't want overhauled. 1 month later, everyone adapts and plays the game for the same reasons they did before the changes. Because to them it's a fun use of time. If its NOT a fun use of time for you. Stop playing. Or if your a QQr, go make your own game. Life's to short to bitch and moan over crap like a game.

For anybody still reading these comments. You basically sign a contract to play WoW for 1 year while keeping the same subscription plan you are using currently. (1 month, 3 month, 6 month) Doing so you receive the bonuses of free Diablo 3, MoP Beta access and the Tyrael mount. If you are one who planned on purchasing the D3 Collector's Edition, then you can continue to do so as well as receiving the original D3 free from the Annual Pass. In an attempt to "reimburse" your purchase of the D3:CE and making the commitment to stick to WoW for 12 months, they will credit you with 4 months of "free" WoW game time. So, to lay it down in terms of numbers: (Assuming you pay monthly at $14.99) $179.88 - 12-months/1-month recurring $99 - D3 CE (Assumed price based on SC2 CE) -$59.96 - Credited 4 month subscription time for CE purchase $218.92 - Estimated total (taking into account savings if you purchase CE) So, you could say that by agreeing to the Annual Pass (If you still want to play WoW), you are paying roughly $40 for the D3 CE, which I can see as a pretty good deal. Of course, if you have no intention of playing WoW anymore, buying Diablo 3 (CE or not) is still cheaper and the option you are going for.
