World of Warcraft turns seven on November 23, 2011! It’s been a truly incredible seven years, and we’d like to thank you all for joining us for yet another fantastic year. To celebrate, players who log into the game between November 20 and December 3 will earn a feat of strength added to their Achievements and a “Celebration Package” item. Using your item will get the celebrations rolling by shooting off fireworks*, applying a (visual only) tabard to your character, and granting a 7% bonus to experience and reputation gains while active.

We look forward to another year of adventures ahead and many more to come!

This Sunday, an all-new World of Warcraft television commercial will debut on CBS during the Chargers-Bears NFL game (kickoff time: 1:15 p.m. PST/4:15 p.m. EST). The ad is set to air sometime during the first half… and when the star of this spot asks, “what’s your game?” you’d best have an answer ready.

    Well, between this lack of pet and the yearly Blizzcon yet-another-form-of-murlock pet, I'm underwhelmed. I'd say it fits with the economy, but darn it this is a video game - they should be going the other way.

    Blizzard stated that the pets awarded alongside the FoS was because there were special anniversaries (and I'm not talking about the regular anniversary). "Laziness" has nothing to do with it.

    That being said, I am one of those who prefer a pet. This year's gift doesn't seem to have been such a great idea considering how many will have capped level/rep for the characters they care about.

    Why is everyone crying that its not a pet, christ... We got pets for the "special" anniversarys, not for every single one :S Greedy ungrateful bunch of people O_o

    Guys who are honestly complaining about this, I mean really. we get something for free, they didn't have to do anything at all really. The only reason we got a pet before was we had a 5 year mile stone, on the 10th year you can probably expect one. I will enjoy this on my alts or something, those who are maxed out, oh well thats life you don't enjoy new alts /shrug.

    so many whiny crybabies cause they didn't get a free pet makes me lol. The FOS and other stuff is just fine its not a gamebreaker neither is a pet. When SWTOR doesnt give free pets you guys gonna bash on that game as well?

    Yeah, in seven months the servers shut down! Completely cereal.

    I don't get why people expect a pet. We got a whole anniversary raid and pet for the fifth anniversary and people are still bitching about it and using it as evidence Blizzard is lazy. You people don't deserve anything!

    I'm guessing The Rock for the commercial. The whole you better know your name thing reminds me of when The Rock was wrestling and did the whole "what's your name""my name is.......""IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS" or something like that.
