Too bad wow has turned into those japanese games you pay to get a bar of chocolate made of gold with wings on it wich you cand ride all the way to Northshire and stand next to the level 1's just afk'ing, being a horrible person who feels he/she's better because you can pay an absurd amount of money for an in-game item.

How's Wildstar going regarding this? Anyone informed about it?

Please stop letting them get away with this pricing. I get it's just spare change (mostly), and sure I can afford it, but it's still not something that should be promoted at that price...

There was the mount people got for the people that did the deal before MoP that got a mount. I would agree to play until WoD for a mount but 30 bucks for yet another mount that is only available for extra cash is kind of BS.

People don't listen, they make some mount and no matter how bad or good it looks the addicts buy it instantly and therefore it's viable for Blizzard.

great...of course putting in game as some actual content wasn't even something worth considering. I expect the reaver to be the same. I don't even get excited about new mounts lately

Ahh, love the comments about how if you're still giving Blizzard sub money you're a sheep or a white knight, not taking into account that some people actually still enjoy the game. I think WoD will be fairly meh, I think Blizzard has lost their mind with some changes, I'm not thrilled about the lack of content. However I do have an active sub at the moment, because I do enjoy running Flex with friends one day a week. If the mount wasn't hideous and if I didn't get charged ludicrous sales tax for digital purchases, I might consider buying it, but IMO it's ugly, $30 is steep, and 10% sales tax on a digital item is moronic, but hey if someone else likes it, cool.

That's the glass half empty way of looking at it. You're assuming that if this mount wasn't in the store there would be more content, or that this mount would be available by other means. It's equally, if not more likely, that if store mounts didn't sell this mount just wouldn't exist. If you don't like it, don't buy it. I don't like it, so I'm not buying it, but I won't begrudge someone else for buying it.

Ofcourse not but they could just give it for free (maybe a reward for finishing an achievement, which is also content) while people are paying € 13 a month for a year without new content. Seriously, get over yourself, no one cares about what you spend your money on. Just because some people are willing to pay for these cosmetic items doesn't mean everyone should be fine with it. The "argument" that you can just not buy these items or even quit playing completely is just nonsense, obviously. Everyone plays for multiple reasons.

The only surprise here is they had the audacity to RAISE the price.... no content in over half a year except in game store items, no hint of launch date, and the next expansins priced point raised 150% and still people keep paying. Im voting with my dollar I've already unsubbed I just wish more would do the same. People that pay and just whine on the official forums about this accomplish nothing because in the end they are still handing over their money which is all Blizzard cares about. They dont care if their customers are content and respecting them, just that they're paying.

Bought it immediately. Started spreading the joy and popped down the hitching post in Shrine and invited anyone who wanted to ride one

Is there really people buying 2 months' worth of game time for pixels they will only use for a couple of weeks tops?

I earned my lesson with the sparkle pony, bought it because it was new, was not so excited when I saw everybody on the server had it the next day. I don't want mounts everybody has.

I get the point, it's not a very intelligent one though thus I say it's silly since no amount of store mounts would make them postpone the EXPANSION, which will bring in the big dough. You go argue with the dog, maybe it will just agree with you blindly. Fact: With or without store mounts, the expansion would take as long as it will to come out.

Also, this discussion with pissy people throwing insults at others for buying stuff for their hobby takes place with every new store item.
