There has always been at least a year between expansion announcement and release. Always. Sigh...

bullshit. hasn't even been a whole year in this xpac. They should never do this 1 year crap again. The content is so pitiful.

Stop being so dramatic. If the next one sucks too, then you can complain - but it's been pretty obvious since the start that WoD was a small expac with a huge amount of focus on things like updating the engine, models, graphic quality of the world etc. If you can't see that they are spending all that time prepping for something huge, then you are blind.
Why are you defending them? WoD was a ripoff. Plain and simple. There isn't some bigger picture/unknown groundbreaking future expansion. WoD was half the size of a normal expansion.

lol @ people saying they just wasted Blizzcon.... if anything it'll make Blizzcon more exciting, especially if they have heaps of information to share and the QA will be amazing if people don't ask retarded questions about mounts or bacon -_-

Surely they will reflect on WoD and apologize for that mess.

Removal of LFR would be grand feature. Having people actually engage with other people to have their raid fix would be very much welcome, anyone who disagrees doesn't seem to consider what's best for the game.

i wonder if it is at all possible for this scenario to play out:
    1. announce at gamescon.
    2. beta begins 1 week afterwards and last ~3 months.
    3. Expansion launches 1-2 weeks after blizzcon (in theory, right on time for the Christmas rush).

You know what I did with the last couple of raid instances before LFR? I skipped them. I did not set a foot into them untill I was more or less able to solo them. I just don't feel like devoting 5 hours nonstop 2 days a week to some stupid raid schedule with toxic people...I got a life!

This isn't the game for you.

I do think it would be fair for Blizz to offer a basic apology. I do'nt think WoD has gone as anyone wanted and an apology along with some hard plans on the future would go a long way toward mending some fences.

This is literally how the game has been set up from vanilla on. Being in a guild with a schedule is part of the game and if people didn't like doing that they PvP'd. It was as simple as that. Now everyone is babied into getting gear that its ruined the whole feel of being in a guild and doing scheduled events with other people.

If you can't find a group of people to raid with that aren't toxic, you're doing it wrong...or perhaps you're getting what you're giving?
Not feeling like devoting the time is one thing but "having a life" is just a silly thing to claim since everyone that DOES commit has one as well. Duh.

Disagree with that, but then I've never been the type that needs to know that others can't have what I am having in order to enjoy myself.

LFR being there and people that otherwise wouldn't play that content getting to see a watered down form of raid content with watered down rewards doesn't hurt me and the people I raid with at all.

Apologies are worthless, them making an effort and us SEEING that effort reflected in-game is all I want.

Why would they need to apologise just because SOME people didn't like it.

What a stupid thing to say.

This, even if I disagree that Blizzard owes us something.
The basic principle behind what you're saying I wholeheartedly agree with: SHOW ME THE MONEY, JERRY! SHOW ME THE MONEY!

Aka: Blizz gives us (per se) all the content that we (per se) feel we (per se) deserve instead of telling us (per se) that it's on its way.

Disclaimer: that's being said from the general disgruntled player point-of-view (which I understand but disagree with); personally I'm still happy with things.

Edit: Damn...posting drunk causes repetition of werds. lol.

So you're saying me not liking the way they changed my class shouldn't have any influence on my overall opinion of the expansion? My class is only part of a much larger picture. WoD just didn't do anything for me content wise. Haven't played since January.

This is the first time that an expansion is getting announced where I'm not getting hyped but instead I'm like, "Okay let's see what you got Blizz. You have a lot of proving to do."
