My theory is she has been planning something big. Freeing N'zoth probably isn't as simple as one thinks, and maybe we've helped her in that direction without realising it. If you remain a "smaller" threat, the heroes of the world won't deal with you just yet, and you can continue whatever you are planning without waging a massive war against them. Basically, I think she was hiding for thousands of years in order to f*ck us up properly when the time comes. Not randomly, but just as it was planned.

But knowing Blizzard it's probably gonna be this:
"Mwahahaha I'm Azshara, Queen of the Naga, Ruler of the- Oh wait, am I dead already? Meh.".

Azshara Queen of Elves, Queen of Naga, badass that only Sargeras could maintain.........

The Naga Race has been getting their ASSES STOMPED since Vanilla.
They have a good appearance in TBC with Zangarmarsh( loved the Naga themed dungeons n raid)
didnt really deal with them in LK,
Cata they had a resurgence but were quashed,
Pandaria and WoD I didnt see much of them if any(at least I dont remember seeing any)
Legion they had some action but again were quashed,
now in BfA we are going to see the Queen herself.

I want to understand how the Naga fit in to Lore but reading up on the Wiki and playing in game I dont see how they are a threat outside of the Queen herself and she is bound to the waters or refuses to take the fight directly. I know I am missing something can some lore seekers help me out?
Vanilla to BFA is like... 14-15 years give or take.

N'Zoth turned Azshara and her followers into naga... ten thousand years ago. The surface-world setbacks are peanuts compared to the planning and implementation that's been going on. And, I'd wager, that we've been playing into their hands the whole time.

This is what I needed to get into this expansion. Arthas, Illlidan, Deathwing, and Azshara have been my favorite "bad guys" for so long in Warcraft. Finally get Azshara

So I was watching this again and I noticed they used the same roar/growl for N'Zoth as they did for Sylvanas's trailer that people were joking about being so weird. Just much louder in her trailer.

first off they had a huge presence in cata, they were responsible for 'kidnapping' neptulon the tidehunter, the strongest of the elemental lords who's story was supposed to be finished in the abyssal maw raid that got scrapped, as to your main question, the naga themselves are a powerful race, made up of strong warriors and skilled mages, so in their own right they are still a formidable fighting force and are opportunistic fighters, they take advantage of others hard work to gain an edge instead of doing all the hard work themselves. while it is not know what their total population is, it is suspected that the naga we have fought over time have been nothing more than mere scouting parties and small scale raids with the largest force being sent to outland under the 'control' of illidan during TBC and serpentshrine cavern being their largest commitment of forces with the main bulk of her army and subjects still residing in naz'jatar and zin azshari

yeah, I enjoyed their presence in Cata and TBC because they had a somewhat prominent role. I like the idea that they are puppet master so to speak, taking advantage of others hard work or guiding them to a means of the Naga's end. That is something I can get on board with. Thank you for putting that perspective out there.

I want to see the Naga have a strong presence in the game since Azshara is possibly a raid boss or will be a Raid boss. I am just speaking on the high number of Naga we as 'Hero's' have killed over the years and how they can present a formidable presence. I am eagerly awaiting their development during this expac if they will have one.

Out of the three this is my favorite one, artistically anyways.

It had everything the BfA cinematic trailer didn't have: rhythm (visual and acoustical ) , pacing, suspense, surprise. Really nicely done!!

On the flipside: An old god having a temper tantrum because a little fleshling dares to talk back to "him"? Seriously? Reminds me of the devs feeling insulted by the comments of 13 year olds

With this kind of character, you always want to see more.

For some reason, I don't feel like this for Sylvanas. :/
its ok, you're just a Sylvanas hater ^^

Ive seen some people saying they did not like the portrayal of N'zoth. If anything to me, It shows how cunning he is. I dont think hes that dumb. I think he made Azshara think she was outwitting him. There no way in my mind that Azshara actually rules him. I could be wrong, but idk

Only 1 world tree left that locks the door . Once Nordrassil falls he will be free .
They have to burn all 5 for his prison to unlock , 4 are in ashes . N'zoth will show his face this expansion .

Whatever floats your boat I guess. Never understood the appeal of hating people. And to have such hatred for 50% of the Earth's population seems real tedious.

Normally, I wouldn't take the bait, but I have to clarify that I'm not a SyLvAnAs HaTeR. It's actually been one of my favourite characters in a long time. I just do not enjoy the latest BfA turn for her. :/

I don't hate women but if I did then imagine, 50% of population to hate, quite fulfilling call in life. More hate than one lifetime can contain.

Damn.. You're in denial? I mean before when you were a hateful misogynist but didn't give a shit what people thought it was kinda fascinating in a way, could almost even respect that.. Now it's kinda sad :/

Why? I have no reason to hate women. It is men who are responsible for all of that.

How are men responsible for you assuming every marriage is a guaranteed divorce where every woman is only out to get your stuff?
