Radiance of Azshara is a boss encounter in The Eternal Palace raid in World of Warcraft. Our strategy guide will help you to defeat Radiance of Azshara encounter and the loot listing below contains all of the loot he drops on each difficulty.

Overview

Radiance of Azshara is the third encounter in The Eternal Palace. It is a rotating two-phase encounter requiring two tanks and a balance of healers and DPS, depending on your raid size.

• Number of Enemies: 1 boss, 1 priority add, several non-priority adds.
• Primary Mechanics: Area Denial, Raid Coordination & Heavy Movement, DPS Check.
• Notable Abilities: Arcanado Burst, Radiant Fury, Tide Fist, Arcane Bomb, Unshackled Power, Squall Trap, Ancient Tempest, Gale Buffet

Fight Basics (Normal and Heroic)

Phase 1

• During this encounter, entering the pool of water around the boss will cause Radiant Fury. Avoid entering the pool.
• The boss will mark where several players stand with Arcanado Burst.
• Shortly after, tornados will spawn from these locations. Tornados knockback and deal heavy damage.
• Tornados will despawn 15-20 seconds after they spawn.
• The raid should slowly move around the platform together, to avoid these Tornados as much as possible.
• When affected by Arcane Bomb, move away and get dispelled.
• Every 15-20 seconds, the boss will cast Unshackled Power and deal burst damage to the raid.
• Phase one lasts until the boss reaches full energy, which is approximately 1 min 45 seconds.

Phase 2

• The boss will summon several Squall Traps in lines across the encounter area.
• Touching a trap will knockback any players near it, deal damage, and spawn a tornado.
• The boss will cast Ancient Tempest which creates a storm in the encounter area, limiting visibility and reducing the damage it takes by 99%.
• Before the encounter area goes dark due to the storm, a Stormwraith add will spawn. This is a priority add.
• Players must make their way to this add quickly and interrupt its cast before it completes or it is a wipe.
• The area around the add is a safe zone from the storm.
• Once interrupted, the add will need to be tanked on one side of the safe zone, with the raid stacked behind it.
• The Stormwraith will perform Gale Buffet which knocks players back.
• Being pushed out into the storm can be deadly.
• Stormlings will occasionally spawn as you fight the Stormwraith, they should be stunned, interrupted and cleaved down with AoE.
• Defeating the Stormwraith ends the storm, and Phase 1 begins again. Repeat this process until the boss is defeated.
• On Heroic difficulty and higher, Arcane Bombs will take place during Phase 2, and Squall Traps will not despawn when Phase 2 ends.

Strategies by Role

All Roles

• Move away from others when debuffed with Arcane Bombs.
• If you raid is moving as a group, do not spawn tornados in the path you are moving.
• Do not blindly run through Squall Traps in Phase 2.
• Aim to trigger only one Squall Trap per line.

DPS

• Take talents and essences for single target damage. The AoE portion of the fight is extremely minimal.
• Do not interrupt the Stormwraith until the majority of the raid has reached the safe zone. It must be tanked.
• Healthstones and Health Potions are useful during the Ancient Tempest if low HP, or after being hit by a Tornado.

Healers

• Be sure you can see Arcane Bomb on your raid frames. It must be dispelled.
• Avoid instantly dispelling players, give them time to run out of the raid.
• Tanks will take heavy damage when hit with Tide Fist.
• Tanks will taunt swap when debuffed with Tide Fist.
• If a tank debuffed with Tide Fist ever takes a second, they will need massive externals and personals to survive.
• Moving to the safe zone during Ancient Tempest is the most dangerous portion of the encounter, and most likely to result in dead raid members.

Tanks

• Taunt swap after every Tide Fist.
• You can not take two in a row without massive personal cooldowns and externals.
• Only one tank needs to tank the Stormwraith in Phase 2.

Commander Sivara drops item level 400 (LFR), 415 (Normal), 430 (Heroic), 445 (Mythic) loot. Loot can have higher item levels if it becomes Titanforged or Warforged, up to item level 455.
