Patch 8.2.5 - More War Campaign Conclusion Cutscenes
The Battle for Azeroth War Campaign conclusion had two other in-game cutscenes that take place after the two main ones covered the other day. The first one below is the final scene for Alliance characters and Saurfang supporters. The second one is the scene you see if you remained a Sylvanas loyalist. Thanks to the Youtube Supreme IRM for the scenes! SPOILERS AHEAD!

I'm totally against this stupid war, but Anduinn giving a speech in the centre of Orgrimmar, in front of the Horde warriors looks and sounds just... wrong. Lmao that cinematic was something.
Lmao, are you fucking kidding me? The events of BFA will be remembered as the Fourth War?
Lol.. Cata & MoP was a much better alliance vs. horde war than this shit. BFA ended with Sadfang doing a 1v1 and getting one shot and then everyone else just holding hands singin kumbayah. I'm fucking laughing so hard right now. Anduin is giving a speech in front of the horde in center of orgrimmar for saurfangs funeral omg this is too much... hahahahaha what is blizzard thinking??? Hahahahahahahha

The way I interpreted it was that he was showing great respect to someone that all of those present respect greatly, I can think of no more logical diplomatic move to make tbh.
Its the 4th war approximately since the wrath gates, you know ? And if not, it's war since we've burned teldrassil to a crisp... With majority of the elves inside...
I'm surprised Anduin didn't get in Thrall's face at the end and say, "if you fail to uphold honor the way Sylvanas has, we WILL you," before walking away.

I may be mistaken, but I think the Fourth War may be intended to represent the entire period of Horde/Alliance hostility in World of Warcraft. This war is specifically called The Blood War.
This may seem like a derailment but what was the point of saving Baine (both as a story point and gameplay)? Sure he was "a friend of Anduin's" and the "Heart of the Horde" (somehow, more like Steaks-in-waiting) but what did he contribute to the resistance aside from being a torch bearer?
Also it's laughable how Jaina can just stand in front of the Horde and no one says anything. Especially the Zandalari, Blood Elves and Forsaken.
The characters have gone back and forth and back so many times that this isn't character development anymore.
This whole story arc seems so artificial and forced. The writers realized you can't keep writing in bigger baddies so they just make heroes turn into villains and chase one another.
Why not just make an expansion about what WoW was always about? Slaying dragons, finding treasures in ancient civilizations and helping locals? I guess that would be too hard to advertise.
I believe the 4th war is everything involved since the start of world of warcraft, so since vanilla we've been at war with the Horde.
Yeaaaaahhhh, kind of. It is whatever Blizzard wants it to be, and the entire game is structured around the faction "war" but there was no outright battles taking place in vanilla, TBC, or wrath. It was more sniping at each other and small blowups. Outright WAR started in Cata, and peaked in Pandaria. WOD kind of reset the war. Legion was a "war" vs. the Legion, like the 3rd war, and ended at the end of Legion, and should, by Blizzard's usage in the past, be the 4th war, but for some reason Afriasiabi and the writing team have decided that this is the end of a "war" that has no real defined beginning. The events of BfA should be the 5th war, by my reckoning, but I don't make the game up, they do.
It is whatever they decide it is, I guess. And they'll retcon if/as needed to make it work.
He didn't. The "Spirits" told him that she'd be fit to be Warchief. It's rumored the Spirits was just whatever Sylvanas is being controlled by.
Though to be fair, it might not have been a trick per se - depending on what comes next, she might very well have been the Warchief the Horde needed at the time. An alternative candidate might have done things differently and led things to disaster. Sometimes what seems terrible in the short term turns out the best option in the long term.
We just don't know yet. But it would seem a little too simplistic - even for Blizzard - to just have Vol'jin be duped by Bwonsamdi's big momma or whatever. Then again... they have been bungling the story pretty hard lately...
There's a whole quest chain where they go around asking a few "death" related people but they never got a full on straight answer, Bwonsamdi was one of those, pretty sure all he said was it wasn't him.
