To be specific, our plan is to open Arathi Basin on all realms the week of March 10. At that time, we will also kick off the Battleground Holidays system.

We plan to open Zul’Gurub and release the fabled Dragons of Nightmare in April.

We’ll let you know as soon as we have an exact time that those content unlocks will occur.

Thank you!

BWL has been a struggle for some guilds, I know a couple have disbanded due to wipe nights and realisation that Classic raiding beyond MC and Onyxia does require motivated leadership. ZG should breath some life into the game for the more casual players, it's a good thing overall.

Not touching Classic untill i get a blue post confirmation that the horrid wow token stays in china.

The fact that they haven't denied the token coming outside of China could be a sign that it's coming.
Would be so easy for them to just clarify if they don't want to add it.

You do realize if Classic + was to happen it would happen after all the planned phases of classic (after naxx).

More likely we'd get TBC anyway, Classic+ would fail hard.

Classic+ would only be good if they made all classes viable and good for raiding in their own way. The community meta and old mentality is harsh towards the hybrid specs so that would be a breath of fresh air if they made the other classes a bit better and added a few quality of life improvements. Call it classic+ sure, leave the old boomers on Classic forever then keep going forward with Classic+ because lets be real classic is the only thing keeping wow subs afloat right now.

I mean, you were somewhat rational until this point. My retail and my classic servers are booming, I don't really think either one of them is doing bad. Classic will just hit hard falls every few months because it's content is stagnant.

Anyone remember how it was said "It won't happen!" about Classic servers? I remember, I used to think so.
Now that Classic servers are here and there's literally a separate team working on it, I would not be so swift to say definitively that Classic+ won't happen.

Sure, there is the Ion statement that Live is the place for a changing world and new content, but even if Classic can retain 200k players, that might be enough incentive to create some new stuff. Likely on entirely separate servers though, to appease the people truly wanting to run Naxx 5000 times.

Or, they'll just do TBC servers. Or, they'll not release more legacy servers at all. At this point in time, they haven't said boo about anything beyond the finalization of Classic's release schedule.

    Citation please.

Don't worry, I know for a fact that you can't provide one.

Considering Retail's many more servers (a Full Retail server has more players than a full Classic one) and the marginal changes in the server rankings across regions, I'd say this just boils down to the usual Classic tooting.

Also, WoW token + Store. 'Nuff said.
