Sepulcher of the First Ones Raid Testing Schedule - January 13-24

Sepulcher of the First Ones PTR Raid Testing Schedule

Thursday, January 13
  • Mythic
    • Lihuvim, Principal Architect – 13:00 PST (16:00 EST, 22:00 CET)

Friday, January 14
  • Mythic
    • Prototype Pantheon – 13:00 PST (16:00 EST, 22:00 CET)
    • Vigilant Guardian – 14:00 PST (17:00 EST, 23:00 CET)
  • Raid Finder
    • Ephemeral Plains – Vigilant Guardian, Artificer Xy’mox, Skolex, the Insatiable Ravener, and Halondrus the Reclaimer.
      • Testing begins after Mythic testing has concluded and ends on Monday, January 17.

Friday, January 21
  • Mythic
    • Anduin Wrynn – 13:00 PST (16:00 EST, 22:00 CET)
    • Halondrus the Reclaimer – 14:00 PST (17:00 EST, 23:00 CET)
  • Normal
    • Testing begins after Mythic testing has concluded and ends on Monday, January 24.

As always, this testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a test environment. We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the bosses being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.

Q: How do I get into the raid zone?
A: In Oribos, Dalaran, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind, you may speak to Nexus-Lord Donjon Rade IV in order to teleport into the raid zone while it is open for testing. (The option to teleport into a zone will not be available when the zone is not open for testing.)

Q: What character should I use to test the raid?
A: Whichever you prefer. We will be scaling players’ effective level to 60 for raid testing, and their item level to an appropriate threshold for the encounter(s) being tested.

Q: How long does testing last?
A: The primary purpose of testing is to give us the information we need to balance the encounters, evaluate how mechanics are playing out in practice, and identify bugs. Once we’re satisfied that we’ve received that information for a given boss, we’ll be shutting down testing. Usually this takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, but there are no guarantees.

We appreciate you taking the time to test our content and look forward to reading your feedback.

Later, when Season 3 starts, Arena points will be converted to Honor, and Season 3 gear will become available.

Patch 9.2 - Summon Sayaad Spell Preview
In Patch 9.2, the Summon Succubus spell is being replaced with Summon Sayaad, which allows Warlocks to randomly summon their Succubus or Incubus.

Once summoned in the new patch, the Sayaad offers a new quest Whatever You Sayaad, directing warlocks to their class trainer in case they want to adjust the spell.

If you're not a fan of this, then I could always just stick to a singular appearance that I have that will haunt your dreams. One of your mentors should be able to teach you how to adjust your summoning ritual.

Of course, if you want to leave it up to me... Well, I can guarantee a good time either way.

Quest Objectives

Speak with Laphandrus Voidheart in Stormwind / Kazak Darkscream in Orgrimmar about adjusting your Summon Succubus spell.

Warlocks can speak with the Warlock trainers in Stormwind and Orgrimmar to change the form of their Sayaad and enact a pact with them by using one of the following items:

After one of the items above is used, Warlocks can revert the change by speaking with the Warlock trainer again.

Off the leash at last!
Aww. I was just starting to enjoy myself!
You're going to miss me!
You'll call me back. I know it.
But I thought I was your favorite!
Yes, yes, whatever you say...
The least you can do is ask nicely.
At once, o great one.
By your command.
Fine. But all work and no play is a waste of my potential!
What is your desire?
I knew you'd want me back.
Finally! A chance to demonstrate my talents.
Shall we begin?

Patch 9.2 New Enigma Arena Delayed for Polish

Upon further review, we’ve decided to devote more development time to make Enigma Arena as good as we expect it to be. This new Arena includes moving features, and we want to make sure we get it working right before release. While we’re very excited about it, we’re now planning to add it to the game in a subsequent content update, and not with the beginning of Season 3.

Maldraxxus Coliseum is still on track for release with Eternity’s End update.

Shards of Domination Disabled in Patch 9.2 Eternity's End

Our plan, which we’re currently working on bringing to the PTR, is to disable Shards of Domination in Zereth Mortis, the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid, and all PvP and dungeons, starting with the Eternity’s End content update.

In this scenario, Shards of Domination would still work as before in previous Shadowlands zones, the Maw, the Sanctum of Domination raid, and Torghast.

We’ll update our Eternity’s End development notes with this, as soon as we get it implemented.
