Oh, but the mean men in the army told me to. It's no fair really.

I had it around this length (Shorter on the sides and back thought, those were the places they would care about.) around half a year ago, and I was like, it's only a month left, I can go without cutting it, almost home free. But after the our very last camp, our captain (No, wait. He wasn't even a captain... What is the rank above lieutenant? 1st lieutenant?) was like "hurr durr, that hair must go." because, you know after spending a week in the forest my hair was kind of all over the place.

So yea. I hate him. He didn't even suggest a promotion for me, even though I was obviously the best thing to ever happen to Finnish defense forces since Simo Häyhä.

The last phrase is sarcasm by the way, I was a horrible soldier.

Aye, I know. Bastids. Very dear friend of mine, born in Austria, had to cut his hair a few years back due to how strict they were with their military. He was devastated, poor guy. I don't understand the reasoning behind it, or I do, of course I do, but I think it's extremely nonsensical. Even moreso nowadays that women can actually apply in most countries and get to keep their hair.

I'd probably be a worse soldier than you were, too, so I wouldn't worry too much.

And no, I'm not worried about being a bad soldier, I could have done a lot better, my motivation just dropped down the drain when winter came. Camping in 2 meters of snow and -20c? Sounds like a frigging plan.
