Thats cool.
I'm not really trying to sway anyone's opinion to be honest. I just think what we're seeing now as far as players reactions is as much as BW fault as it is the player base. Too much hype for way way to long. BW just didn't pace it well and we're all seeing some crazy posts cause of it.
Yep, BioWare is just as much fans of their work as we are, and that means they have no idea what they want or when they want to show it. If they'd taken a route like ANet and set up like say, one month to dedicate to showing off a race or a class or an AC or a planet, with a nice stock of good info to slowly release over the month, I think we'd see much more managed expectations.

Hope for tomorrow, for those who punch their screens at rehashed info.Nosh_Yraelo C.J. Wright
@Rockjaw Stephen, can I be excited about tomorrows Friday update or as someone who's seen everything released so far will I be crying again?
@Rockjaw Stephen Reid
@Nosh_Yraelo I promise it will be new.
I don't see why they promised updates every friday when they can't deliver the new stuff each week. They're shooting themselves in the foot.
They didn't promise new game updates every week. Disinformation is fun.
We were spoiled a bit from E3... plus some people just like to QQ about everything.
New info every friday or not the people that cry about it will still buy the game. So I think its safe to say your point system is... pointless
See what I did there?
I disagree. MMO players are hungry for something new and great. Bioware showed us some tasty bits years ago. When Bioware tells hungry people they were going to cook for them, it's only natural to expect them to complain about not being fed. I have no problem being patient, but I understand the community's frustration after quite some time.

Didn't what? Promise weekly updates on Friday? Um, yes, yes they did. I remember when they started ages ago they said Friday's would be their "release info" day, with one Friday a month being Fan Friday. They said they would try to do 3 updates a month, one or two content and the rest blog of Dev discussions. So uh yeah, they did promise information.

Was going to write:
They never said they'd be releasing new info every Friday.
Also, try to do is not the same as promising.
I hope it's a good update this Friday, I'm tired of this topic popping up. lol

Lefuu, I'm curious about something. Are you planning on playing TOR?

I'm not aware of the specific statements they made, it was YEARS ago. The point is that the expectation, regardless of what they meant, is that we'd get new information. If they gave you the same Bounty Hunter information twice a month for 6 months, wouldn't you start to feel like they weren't really giving you information?
Not in a technical sense no, but honestly it boils down to the same thing. You open your mouth and offer something expect people to assume the MOST, not the least. If you want people to assume the least, say the least, outright SAY it. If they can't give us 3 new things a week, fine, don't be seen to imply that's what you'll be doing. And that's part of the problem, BioWare has implied they'd do a lot of things, which IMO has been worse for them then outright saying no.Alsoo, try to do is not the same as promising.

I mistyped, I meant 3 updates a week, each Friday.
