If you are really curious then viewing their post history it is usually quite obvious what got them banned.

While your banned, drag the banned icon on your desktop=Profit
Click the players name > "View forum posts" could show the post causing it maybe. Or they did something nasty in a PM.
Banned shows up on every post they make. But generally it's trolling.

Mostly the banned people make unconstructive, inflammatory, or irrelevant posts. Just behave in the forums with appropriate behavior like a normal citizen in society and you'll be fine.
They asked. That's what they did.
Also, keep in mind that when you see someone with a banned avatar it doesn't mean that the guy got banned for the post you're currently reading. If 2 or 3 people get banned in the day while posting in the forum you regularly read, it will start to look like OMG EVERYONE IS BANNED.
I don't think mods are banning everyone, we broke the 20,000 posts/day mark this week.
<banned> just gets around a lot. He's a really responsible and a dependable parent to boot. He's got 10 85's 7/7 FL HM Pre-Nerf and he makes it to all his son's baseball games. Truly an amazing person.
Personally, I think there are less bans now than there usually is. I don't have access to the data, just a feeling.
Oooo, congratz on the 20,000 posts/day mark, Boub!
I for one am pretty glad that the forum moderators seem to be cracking down a lot heavier on flaming/spamming/whatever.
Just because this site is on the same internet as 4chan doesn't mean these forums are people's own vomitorium, and I'd much rather come here to discuss things without some child posting nonsense every other post.
EDIT: Ahahahaha... Fuzzzie, you have more posts than Boub does. How does this make you feel? :P

it could be that they hired more mods, so there's less "spreading yoruself too thin"
whereby comments that should result in bans/infractions are more likely to be seen
i noticed someone in the computer forum i always saw as a regular get banned, checked post history, couldn't see anything fishy, but meh, coulda been anything (deleted post/thread etc)
