People Infuriated by Monster's Planet Plagarism

    Hey guys,

I'm posting to get the general word out about the Facebook game "Monster's Planet".
On the surface it looks like your usual Facebook game. Allowing you to do certain things, as well as a paid service for "exclusive content".

However, after giving the game 5 minutes of your time, you'll start to notice that a great number of the monsters in the game are actually Pokemon, with very slight changes.

Here is a comparison of a selection of their Monsters, to Pokemon:

You can find several more pokemon copies here:
    http://www.monstersplanet.jncxgames.com/

So, here is where we come in. After noticing these similarities and, being that Pokemon was a huge part of our childhood, wanted to do something about it.
    We created this Facebook page:
    http://www.facebook.com/pages/People...33895243355464
In order to get it noticed enough for Nintendo to do something about it, or better yet, for Facebook to shut it down.

A quick like from yourself will of course do the page a world of good. There are only two of us actively running the page so of course anyone with suggestions, submissions and other feedback are more than welcome to post here, or on the Facebook page.

Here is a link to the games Facebook page:
    http://www.facebook.com/plingamonstersplanet

If you scroll through the page you'll likely come across more of their Pokemon copies.

I didn't know there was a Pokemon similar game on Facebook, Thanks will be playing it now

OT: Pokemon is such an old game and Nintendo is all against sharing the game with other consoles .. This is a nice change for a bit

    Honestly /care on this.
How many blatant Super Crate Box copies are there?
Angry Birds is a rip-off of Castle Clout.
Saints Row is pretty much GTA.
People have been doing this and earning far more money. Why should we care about some low-budget facebook game?

There's a difference between games of the same style (GTA and Saints Row) and slapping some eyelashes on someone else's creation and claiming it as your own.

    This is exactly the point.

Oh wow, they weren't even trying to hide it, it seems. How lame.

Is it wrong of me to not know which side is Pokemon and which is Monster's Planet?

I lol'd at this. Sorry i can't like the page based on one simple thing.

ANYTHING that could possibly inject some new ideas into pokemon would be freaking phenomenal at this point. If this gets pokemon devs off their ass im throwing a party.

I would agree with you, but I personally don't agree with someone making money off anothers work. They've not even tried to hide it.

Who gives a shit apart from maybe Nintendo?
If you're so upset with it, don't play.

Huh? Infuriated? It's a damn popular game last I remember reading.

Facebook, mobile and social "games" are all shameless clones for the most part anyways, I don't see what makes this any more special than the thousands of other clones.

wow, i wouldnt be that bothered if it was loosely referencing them, or based on Pokemon, but most of thise on that picture are direct copies with a little recolouring! they havn't even tried to hide it, just direct copy, change colour a little and bam! done.

Those aren't even subtle. Most of them are worse.

Jesus, this is so blatant. Just make Pokemon with giant "UGUUUUU" faces.

A recolored dragon is a recolored dragon is a recolored dragon.

It's not like those Pokemon are exactly brand new creations in and of themselves.

The designs are the EXACT same, and most Pokemon designs are pretty unique. (Besides the obvious)
