I personally take pride in never running from a PvP fight, only time I would is if I am a flag carrier.

I'd love to genuinely know how many times 'dotting' a Rogue has prevented him from being able to escape.

Like let's be realistic, even if he didn't just cloak the dot off, he's still going to just sprint a mile away after Vanishing.

Plus not all classes have access to on demand AoE.

Also: woo no-one voted Shamans as cowardly! Drink up my Shaman brothers, for tonight we dine in the gates of hell!

Jkz we just can't escape anyone so we don't bother.

    >Remove vanish to make rogues less cowardly
    >Watch as they became the least viable class in PvP as you have just removed an ability that is used in nearly every PvP fight.

Lore wise, I'd say mage or warlock. If you think about it, a rogue is usually sent to assassinate a powerful enemy or do some risky business. They aren't battlefield warriors like most classes in WoW. They work behind the scenes.

It's really hard to pick actually. Each class, lorewise, is brave, and each class plays around how it is meant to be played. Fight a hunter who stands in one spot. He is an IDIOT for doing so, because he is not meant to be in melee range. Who wins: a hunter that kites or a hunter that stands still?

Let's not break apart my statement to dissolve its original meaning.

I made a rogue alt and if I didn't vanish at least once during some fights, I would have lost, and even then I still lost battle when vanish was used. Vanish isn't some "Press-To-Win" button, it's a mechanic that adds depth to the class. Would you support the removal of stealth to make rogues and feral druids WW monks?

Apologies, not actually what I meant to do. I meant even if we went as far to remove Vanish completely, I doubt it would change Rogues all that much from being the 'iconic' PvP melee DPS.

Vanish used for things like re-CC'ing, or min/max'ing DPS certainly add depth to the class; this thread however is about Rogues opening on someone and then Vanish'ing should it look like they won't win the fight to almost guarantee their survival, there is no 'depth' to this.

Well from a gameplay point of view it has to be rogue.

Unless the player is a complete moron (or the rogue takes the risk of dying willingly) there is no way to kill a rogue. Don't act like it's easy to break vanish, after 3 seconds the rogue could be anywhere and DoTs will be taken off by CoS.

NE druids are a close second, although since most areas now don't allow flight, I don't mind them as much anymore.

    Lorewise it is probably mages?

Rogue. The class is simply supposed to be played in a "cowardly" way. (Please mind the quotation marks)

I suppose the qq comes from mages/locks/druids/hunters who were instantly promoted to 2.5k rating after creating said characters?
And nah, a druid can kick a rogue's ass, same shit with locks/monks/mages/druids.

World PvP is dead, didn't you know?

We don't think flying makes questing quicker. We think it makes it trivial. There is a difference. Source
How does flying trivialise this quest?
Cherry picking data, have a read.

I must admit that thematically it has to be the rogue, but to be honest... i always find hilarious those holy paladins or resto shamans with a shield... c'mon... you are like 30yrds away from any action... with a shield, casting heals... and even in full plate! i can understand a pally tank with a shield and plate, they use both of them... but a healer? that's a coward... it is actually a coward holy priest that needs plate and shield to feel good.

My experiences says rogues. Fly in, kill all the NPCs, vanish, run away. Repeat. Repeat. They are not looking for a fight. They are just a pest. And the world needs less pest.

What about warlocks? They fear you and kill you with their dots and sick their demons on you even if you break alway they fear you again :/

None of them are really cowardly. It takes some rather large brass balls to face things that your PC characters have faced.

The most cowardly would be a level 1 RP that never leaves Stormwind.

I dunno man.. If I could wander round completely invisible to everyone and deliberately pick my targets...

Then should I decide to attack them, they must stand completely still for 10+ seconds whilst I do my worst to them...

Then when they try to hit me back I can turn back invisible again at will...

I think I wouldn't mind taking on anyone.
