Of course there are differences, but both are white majority with Christian-Judaeo values (for now). You seem to think that only the US does videogames.

OR that only countries who have a similar culture to the US make videogames.

In fact, few exceptions aside, some of the shittiest games are made in the USA. By far and wide the most popular, critically acclaimed legends of the videogame world are made elsewhere. So if the US (or "the West" as you seem to call it) were to fall tomorrow, videogames will be just fine.

There's more coming out of japan than just JRPGs and Visual Novels. And Japan couldn't possibly be more different than the US in just about everything. Politics, religion, immigration, socializing, the two countries are basically apples to oranges.

It isn't even just right wing. There are a lot of people who group ALL conservatives into the Nazi category. I think that is why some people are upset.

Sort of like modern Republicans and this populism disease that has consumed right-wing talk for a while now.

This is what I've grown to understand about American politics now: when the left is in power, the "right" collectively starts acting correctly, asking for greater states' rights, less government control and regulation, a focus on national issues over international issues, lower taxes and less transfer of wealth. Unfortunately, when the right gets power what actually tends to happen is they want to police our bodies, tell us what we can and can't do in the bedroom, stomp all over states' rights, cut taxes only for corporations and millionaires and stir up war around the world.

This is why I consider myself a conservative but probably will vote start voting Democrat as the lesser of two evils from now on. At the very least, the Democrats in practice just raise taxes slightly and reduce my 2nd Amendment rights. And while that bugs me, I'll take that over the pseudo-fascism that the Republicans engage in. It's one of those things y'know, "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice..." And I do feel ashamed, as I've voted Republican my whole adult life and have been fooled several times. If we had REAL conservatives in power, ones who actually want to limit government power, I'd still be on board.

There's a lot of truth to that (emboldened line), and this is also the trouble with using labels. Many current "Right Wing" are left of where many Left Wing folks were from 50-60 years ago.

I would suspect that most of the folks holding office as Republicans (at least at a Federal level) are not conservative. So they are labeled "Right Wing" solely because they have an "R" in front of their name, not because of their political views. Probably the biggest divide between the two main factions in the Republican Party. Tea Party Republicans (more so conservative) versus the establishment (not so much).

Then you have a liberal like Donald Trump jump in the mix and throws the entire party on it's head. Establishment Pubs don't like what he says and Tea Party types don't like what he does. Then you have many or most being hypocritical by dismissing all the things he does when they would have been livid if Clinton or Obama did the same thing.

Where the fuck were these people in previous years? We had *many* WW2 games where we played Russian soldiers - so *literal* communists fighting for Mother Russia. "No Russian" was far worse than this and yet the controversy it caused had more to do with killing civilians rather than any "commie propaganda." Fuck, even something like Tropico series is about building a banana dictatorship, potentially allying with USSR against America - why aren't these stalwart defenders of democracy protesting them?

'Course, it's the Internet, so it's hard to say how much of that is trolling or bipolar thinking where you're either a "Nazi sympathizer" or "commie lover". Because the rest of the world doesn't exist and it's all about deluded individuals from both sides of American politics, with trolls loving every second of it.
