Thanks a lot for that list!! What would you say if I switched the CPU for an 8700k?

It's a better gaming CPU, you would also need a different mobo and go for dual channel RAM.

I don't know enough about your wife's hardware needs with the programs see uses to recommend one over the other but both are solid choices.

My wife comes 2nd. This is just about the only time she does. Gaming comes first and while I want to give her a good experience as well, I wanna optimize it for gaming.

How about this? I removed the 2nd SSD. I have three lying around here which I would build in.

I have room for more... I could at least pump 500-800€ more into it. Where could I go up in performance/quality?

I would suggest the cooler. My personal choice would be to go to a NH-D15. It performs right around the same but it is quieter and costs less. You can see here:
    http://www.relaxedtech.com/reviews/n...quid-coolers/2

That the NH-D15 actually outperforms that H100i while being quieter and costing less. You could go for the kraken though, it's about the only AIO that consistently outperforms the best air coolers.

If you really want to go all out though, go for a custom loop. That will cost more, give you more to tinker with AND give you more performance.

Changed a few thing around, you don't need such an expensive motherboard unless you need certain features you can only find on there. Also went for an air cooler as Coffee lake runs at a lower wattage then skylake-x see also above posters comments regarding cooling and went for the "k" or unlocked version of the CPU which allows for overclocking, if not now, maybe a few years down the line, it's not much more expensive and gives options, + you save a lot by going with a different motherboard.
