Ok so I don't think "you fucking dipshit" is necessary here for 2 reasons:

1) He has repeatadly said how easy Classic WoW will be with 2017 players and how bad players were back then. Everything will get 1-shot on day 1.

2) He is not saying the boss mechanics in Legion are easy, over the last 12 years boss mechanics have gotten increasingly more difficult to compensate for the players becoming better and getting better addons. What he means with "legion = ez mode" is that things weren't handed to you on a silver platter in Vanilla WoW. You had to grind and every single thing took so fucking long to earn. Just getting into the raid required you to get attunded first, find players to go with you and actually walk all the way there. In Legion it's all 1 click away.

I don't know if I want to laugh at comment 1 or 2 the hardest. You are comparing two different games to each other.

I would have thought Blizzard wants to make money from classic servers so they will end up doing what most people want. I think it's quite telling that they haven't called it Vanilla Wow, Classic Wow can mean anything.

Depends on the server. Patch 1.1 with bad talents or 1.12 private server mode? Huge difference here

So angry. I don't think anyone is actually saying the encounters were harder... the experience took more effort due to preparation.. and that made it more rewarding.

Now you can simply gear up an alt with drops from rares and chests and jump right into raids. THAT is EZ mode. Todays wow isn't much more than a lobby with a queue to encounters. It is a JOKE because that takes away ANY MMORPG aspects and replaces it with instant gratification.

I know, you are badass because you killed boss X on Mythic. No.. you are badass because you logged in for a few hours a week and got your welfare legendaries until you were geared enough to overcome Boxx X Mythic's healthpool. Good for you... but Yuck! You can have that.

Truth is.. most people saying they don;t have time like "no lifers from vanilla" do... probably spend as much time or more grinding AP, legendaries, and Mythic+ dungeons so they can overcome the healthpools of "challenging bosses"... than Classic players spent farming shards, mats, consumables, etc.

It just comes down to what you enjoy doing to get there. Classic people enjoy the game outside of raiding as much as raiding... current people think the "game" is just a hassle in their way of spamming pewpew and loot in endgame.

I truly hope those people try classic and learn what the GAME is really about.

Fun fact is, that the "social" people never needed things like this. I remember rerolling from horde to alliance in TBC. Friendly guild took my green geared shaman on farm runs in BT/first sunwell bosses. Thats how its done. Know people and dinging max level = ready for raiding.

I still think he has some inferiority complex, because he takes this way too personal and gets offensive towards people who enjoy different stuff to him.

But on topic, I agree with him, maybe not 100% but 98%. I'm a wrath baby. I'm not really excited for classic servers, but if they're contained in the regular sub, I'll probably give it a try. Maybe I try out this cool ret-paladin-porn-watching hybrid I heard so much (or was that TBC?) about or maybe I try a priest or hunter, two classes I couldn't even stand in their wrath incarnation (I like focus hunters though).

But if I had a say, I would want the vanilla experience. I don't think hampering latency is necessary to recreate it, but everything else thats wrong and objectively and comparatively bad -in terms of game mechanics and balance- I would want that in if I decide to play a classic server.

Yeah they sure do listen to opinions they disagree with as evidenced by the countless other youtube/twitch content creators that have voiced the same opinion. Even going to so far to blame the loss of millions of subscribers to wow as the sole reason to remove lfr from the game. Why is lfr in the game right now if they care about that opinion. You guys are hopeless and delusional if you think Blizzard cares about that opinion.

He is completely right... the same people that nodded their head to every Blizzard convenience coded into WoW already HAVE the WoW they want.

Leave Classic exactly as it was... amazing. My only changes? Make sure Classic naturally rolls over the BC expansion then Wrath... and at the same time start NEW Vanilla servers. So people can enjoy the new start again and again if they so choose.

There should be NO major changes to Vanilla. Otherwise it will be a slippery slope downhill and before you know it you'll end up with Legion all over again.

He's a guy with an opinion, he's part of a stupid mob just as anyone else with an opinion that's not on the inside of the development process.

"Not wanting the mob to exist" =/= not being part of it. He's not alone in his opinions, and neither are the people wishing for changes.
