I bought it first on PC, but due to WoW I was unable to finish it, I always returned to WoW. I bought PS4 Pro I few months ago and finally I was able to quit WoW for a while (I will probably return, though), and the GOTY Edition of this game was on sale. I couldn't miss the chance.
I have been a gamer all my life, and for me, this game is, objectively, the best one ever made. Is INSANE the amount of GOOD content and detail that it has, is overwhelming. The AMAZING story and characters, not only of the main quest but of every single sidequest, I don't have words to describe it. How this guys made this game is a mistery to me, I mean, it raised the bar A LOT. You could like it or not, but I think that we could all agree that after this game, the industry has no excuses, it has to work VERY HARD to get close to this level of quality.
My only regret is that after The Witcher 3, I know that, while I will still have fun, it will be almost impossible that any game surprise me or get me hooked like The Witcher.
The rest of the industry has much to learn about this game (I could write a book about this topic): the DLC price/content relation, which is, again, INSANE in this game; how important is to make good characters and an adult, interesting story and world (The Witcher had the job done before they started working on it, because its based in a saga of books, but thats no excuse for the rest); the really HIGH quality of the secondary quests/activities...
I sincerely doubt that this game will be surpased in this generation, but I wish to be proved wrong.
My only complain about the game is that it could be really overwhelming. So many things to do, a world SO big. I know. it sounds like a stupid complain, this is what we gamers want, I high quality game with tons of content, but, maybe it was just a problem for me, as a completionist.
My advice: play little by little, enjoy, this game is going to last you for months/years (because, yeah, it has a lot of replayability), don't try to make everything at the same time, just relax and enjoy the trip.
