I don't think the elite will feel much of that, will they?
As always, only the plebs will feel the sting of a bad economy.

Why what US gonna do? It does not matter how big your dick is, what matters is how you use it and Russia used it exceptionally well in Ukraine and Syria, much to the impotent rage of the west.
US can't even deal with Korean fatso and his army of starved kids, you think it can tangle with Russia at big boys game?
Putin and the oligarchs invaded Ukraine to deflect the attention of the Russian people away from the regime's corruption.
If Putin and the oligarchs were serious about fixing Russia they would start by working to reduce corruption and joining international trade. Russia needs to start producing things to sell, natural resources only last so long. Russia needs to grow it's industries and compete with other nations, the EU US and China.
To start, Russia needs to give the Crimea back to Ukraine. When Russia does that, we can lift sanctions and discuss trade agreements.
The world is turning away from natural gas and oil. Russia's ballooning deficit is largely due to the falling prices of natural gas and oil.

"This will be a fight against overwhelming odds from which survival cannot be expected. We will do what damage we can."
-- Capt. Copeland
And Ukraine keeps fighting going to deflect attention from their continued corruption too.
They are cut from same cloth.
Which they did, duh.If Putin and the oligarchs were serious about fixing Russia they would start by working to reduce corruption and joining international trade.
Only a few centuries to go, true.Russia needs to start producing things to sell, natural resources only last so long.
This happens as well.Russia needs to grow it's industries and compete with other nations, the EU US and China.
Nope.To start, Russia needs to give the Crimea back to Ukraine. When Russia does that, we can lift sanctions and discuss trade agreements.
Possibly oil, but definitely not gas; it is supposed to help cover any shortages in renewable electricity sources. The world is turning away from natural gas and oil.
Russian budget assumes 40$ price of oil; current price of oil is 65$.Russia's ballooning deficit is largely due to the falling prices of natural gas and oil.
It is pretty conservative.
Everyone knows russia is weak , cant compete with u.s military
It's US ---------> Russia -----------> Everyone else.
Considering how US spends more then next seven top spenders combined, we're doing great

I've re-checked data, and nope, it is exactly right.
~3.2-3.4 trillion roubles in 2015, ~3.8 trillion roubles in 2016 - most of increase coming from one-time repayment of loans to military factories that had government guarantees.
Maybe your info-graphic was going with some preliminary projections.
I think you simply don't understand anything there, bud. Putin has Russia under lockdown for good, he is nowhere near being threatened there. Syria, on top of presence and power projection in the Middle East was a way to show West that their sanctions or attempts of isolation are pointless and he succeeded there big time - both his pal Assad retained power, he got some Russian bases in the area and West reluctantly has to work with Russia there and by their rules.
Other than that Russian economy seems to do not bad at all despite sanctions, it is not stellar, but it is holding up and even shows mild positive tendencies.
And finally his Crimea gambit seems to have paid off because in addition to getting a big chunk of land annexed with 0 bloodshed, Russia did not even face any sort of serious consequences, on top of that they keep Ukraine by the balls with all the BS they are doing in East Ukraine with all these phony "people's republics" there.
Basically he scored a lot of wins there to secure his place in charge.
The US would win a conventional war against Russia, there is no doubt about that. The only question is at what cost.

Russia's military might is in its nuclear weapons, remove those and Siberia would already be speaking Mandarin and not Russian.
This is the problem. It is so incredibly difficult for people to get a proper picture of what happens in Russia. Either you're reading Western sources, which will obviously attempt to slant the news a certain way, or you're reading a Russian source, which is slanted far harder in the opposite direction.
Habit mostly. In a hot war, we'd sink their entire fleet on day one, destroy their entire industrial capacity in a week, and then just watch the country destroy itself. It's a shame really. Russia was on a positive Arc before Putin decided he wanted to LARP as a superpower.

Bluster and exaggerations aside, the cost depends on the objectives. If we just wanted to destroy Russia's capacity to conduct offensive warfare, we could wrap it up quickly with minimal cost. If we wanted to overthrow the regime and properly conquer the country, we'd have to be willing to kill A WHOLE LOT of people. We have the ability to do that in spades. I doubt we have the will to cause that kind of death though. We've gone really far out of our way and beyond any kind of military expediency to spare lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.
