6.0/7.0 alpha's/beta's weren't encrypted because they didn't have that option back then. We also don't know if this is F&F.

Do we have any information on Allied races being in for 7.3.5? I keep seeing PTR updates. I know 7.3.5 isn't BFA but I guess in a way Allied Races are

I believe you can make allied races in a sandbox.

And I believe others have said that on the technical level, it’s at the point where they just need to flip a switch to activate them. Might be remembering wrong though so don’t take as gospel.

They could, but they're not going to enable them on the PTR since they're trying to hide the pre-order bonus.

From a logical and even business standpoint, throwing out like 1 or 2 of the allied races for 7.3.5 would be a good idea to have something for the content drought. I mean with everything they've done, it does scream preorder bonus.

Well that I get, what I was trying to say was “ I believe people have said things definitely are pointing towards 4 of the Allied Races being available at some point during 7.3.5 from a technical standpoint. There are things there that highly likely says they are soon, not later.”

There's more to it, some minimap changes as well and a bunch of other stuff that I don't really track.

Given all this allied race data in the game, what are the chances that they just throw in a hotfix/reset the servers and flag the quests? (kind of like the Ulduar scenario) Or is it something that they'd have to enable via a small patch?

They can probably hotfix this in, or it might not even need a hotfix. Just an 8.0 license on your account.
