I was so hyped when I found out Devilman is getting a new anime adaptation. Then saw the animation and all my hopes and dreams died. People complained Berserk 2016/2017 looked bad but this is on a whole different level man... I couldn't get past the first episode, it just makes me nauseous, which is a shame because I see people saying how violent and sexual it is and that's right up my alley, but I just can't with this terrible art style...

I know how it looks like, I watched it as a teen. It looks so much better than Crybaby... Better colors, more detail to the characters and especially the environment... Crybaby looks super bland, something that I would do as a first animation project as an amateur... not to mention character proportions are all over the place.

Eh Yuasa style is different compared to almost every other series who keep more to a general animation style (not counting parody/gag anime).
Differences are good though! Would be boring if everything looked exactly the same.
