6 new character slots in BFA. More in patches?

At the moment, blizzard have confirmed 6 new character slots per realm, so you can make one of each new allied race, but will they give extra slots per new allied race they bring in? Why don't they just let us be able to make all 50 characters on one realm?

A friend of mine, who works for Blizzard, told me a few months ago that they were adding the 6, but they have the tech to make it go up to 20 available characters per realm without breaking the interface.

Do people mix and match faction on a single realm ?

I always had an Alliance realm and a Horde realm, so to me 6 slots per server is actually enough for 6 races per faction.

That's exactly how I do it, I play horde on stormscale and alliance on sylvanas (EU)
