Noone is saying that physical attributes are unimportant for dating..or noone you need to pay any attention too at least. We do have words for people who check possible partners financial status before dating them though.

Dating preferences are only acceptable if they aren't problematic. Refusing to date cishet white men is fine ofcourse, but refusing to date trans PoC is racist and cis-sexist and must be called out and stopped.
